72 to old?

Hi: I want to suggest lap band to my mother who is 72.  Is there a resource I can look at before I do?

There are a number of studies on people over age 65. There is a doctor on this site who has written about a study done at Cleveland Clinic on over age 70. The outcomes seem positive. My guess it will be dependent on the physical,  emotional, mental, and psychology status of the 72 year old.

Look for some of the NIH studies too.
