What's new this Tuesday morning?

Good morning everyone....

I am exhausted today. I am going to take a muscle relaxer and go back to bed. I was at the hospital with my niece and nephew all day yesterday until 10:30 last night. My sister's blood pressure dropped dangerously low and they had a hard time getting it back up. She seems to be okay but they are going to give her a blood transfusion in a little while. She is very weak. My niece has to return home today and my nephew has to return to work. They asked me yesterday if I could keep in touch with their mom. Their plans are to have her admitted to sub acute/ rehab right across the street from me!! YAY me...oh well...I told them I will do what I can but most days I am in too much pain to even take care of myself. YES ....this is the sister that kicked me out of her house...they backed her up. Now everyone is apologizing and asking for my help. I believe this is God's will so I will do all I can.

Connie...OMG How can they even THINK to ask YOU to care for her when YOU are not doing well right now????? I would not do anything for her at all!!! If she is admitted then she IS being taken care of!!!! She is NOT your responsibility at all!!!!!!!! ((((((Connie))))))  And having snow now sucks!!!!

Well we had some heavy rain over night and some flooding in our parking lot nothing big...this morning we had a little lightening and it took out my internet in my office!!! We have FRONTIER in there...and all of Galion that has FRONTIER for internet is doing without. NICE...NOT!!!!!!!!!!!! I have a TON of work to do and now I can't do a dam thing!!!!!!!! I called them and they said if they send someone out it could be back on before they get here...could be anytime or it could be DAYS!!!!!!!!!!! I am NOT happy!!!!!!!!!! It is the end of the month and it is also first of the month and rent checks are coming in left and right!!!!! Plus I have a lady transferring from one complex to the other...plus I have RECERTS to do!!!!!!!! I am PISSED!!!!!!!!!! I HATE Mother Nature right now!!!!! It has stopped raining for now BUT more is coming later on...SIGHS........

Well lunch is over so need to see IF my INTERNET is back yet...hahaha.

Hello Judy...YES.... I am not happy about my sister being across the street from me!!

She will probably be admitted there Thursday or Friday. The hospital is less then 5 minutes away from me too.

I know I am not responsible and it makes me kind of mad over the whole situation!! I will do what God wants me to do. It all depends on my pain too. I MUST take care of me first!!!

My medications have gotten switched around, some dropped and some added. I have that to deal with too. 

Hope you don't get anymore rain for a while. I worry about your flooding areas. I pray your computer is up and running again soon too!!!

Good Afternoon Connie and OFF Family,

I just got home from babysitting Frankie, and Lincoln.  When I left Colleen's, she and the boys had the baby chicks out back.  It was so cute.

I'm just checking in for now.  I'm going to go outside and see about dragging sticks to the street.  The city is picking up all the yard waste.  So many branches are on people''s front yards, at the street, waiting for the city.  It was a wicked winter when it comes to damage to trees.

Tonight is the Phillies game.  They're back in Philly, so it'll start and end at a decent hour.

Hi Trish..... Be careful hauling all those sticks and things. Don't overdo it. That will surely trigger your allergies as well. Good luck!!

Tri****hink of you every time I fly by exit 105!  It is great that things are so much better for you since moving back to MI.  You are such an up person these days.  And busy, busy, busy.

Gee,  you are too good. I would tell your sister's kids it's their responsibility. You need to take care of you. And beside, what can you do for her that they can't in an acute facility? 

I was up early this morning for an injection in my cervical spine, in my neck. I've been having tingling down my right arm and into my right hand (yes, oh joy, and I'm right-handed). X-rays show I have arthritic changes in my neck. Now, we can't blame this on obesity. So early this morning I went and had my injection done. Really sleepy afterward. My friend Richard drove my car and drove me home. We stopped at IHOP for breakfast ... it was funny, we had the same thing, with a slight variation. I have half my omelet left, of course. I'll have it for breakfast tomorrow.

Not going to do much of anything today. Looks like it's going to rain now. We had a lot of rain yesterday, too. Probably going to take another nap. It's my grandnephew Ben's 14th birthday ... can't believe he's 14 already. I'm told he's taller than his dad already. He was a big baby and he's continue to grow in leaps and bounds. I haven't seen him since last April. I'm sure his voice has changed, too.

Well, I'm going to sign off and turn on the lights. It's getting dark out. Have a nice day.

Hi Eileen....I agree....they want someone around to see that she does what she is supposed to do. She never listened to me before....not sure she will now. I will tell the nurses to call her daughter! My sister always argues with her daughter too. She will have to manage....she won't like it there!! They will keep on her to keep walking and exercise. That recovery is no picnic!! If she doesn't she will be admitted to the nursing home!!

When I broke my hip I was in there for quite a while. I never saw any of them there for me!! Like I said I need to take care of me first.  

I hope the shot helps you with the tingling....it did help me.

Hello Connie and all my OFF sistas!

We are just back from Wally World where I spend an ungodly amount of money on sunscreens, mosquito spray, and the like. I figure if those things are expensive here (and they ARE!), they will be exhorbitantly priced THERE (in Belize), so I stocked up. I don't like to get sunburned and I don't like to get bit, so I'd rather have too much than too little.

Went to the wound care center this morning and was told NO SWIMMING for at least 2 more weeks! What?! You expect me to go to Belize and NOT go SWIMMING??? But I understand. She says I will get an infection unless my incision is 100% closed up. I sure don't want another infection! Thankfully, we are not scheduled to go to the Placencia area (beautiful beaches****il the 8th-12th, and that's almost 2 weeks. And we won't be going to Ambergris Caye (gorgeous island****il 18th-21st, and that's definitely more than 2 weeks. And of course, I can still go wading. Just no soaking in any water, not even the bathtub! Grrrr.

Also, we are now leaving on Thursday evening instead of crack-of-dawn Friday morning. Airline changed our flight schedules slightly, and our window to change planes in Atlanta narrowed down to less than 40 minutes. That's a little too tight. So we're flying out Thursday afternoon. We'll spend the night in Atlanta and then leave around 9:30 Friday morning. We'll be in Belieze before noon.

Tonight we are going to Christie's house for supper and to see our boys one more time before we leave for a month. I will empty my frig of produce and such and take it all to Chris. I'll have to leave my frig virtually bare of any perishables. No point in throwing all that food away, or feeding it to the deer, when I can give it to Chris.

Well, much to do this afternoon, since my departure time moved up drastically on me. Love you all!
