Early, early Monday morning
Good morning all. I am up still trying to get some stuff done as I have been running back and forth to the Vet clinic trying to get our Buck to eat.
I have too much to do to get ready for surgery on May 1st. I went to see the PS Friday and they have an opening Thursday for a thigh lift. We are just waiting to get the OK from the Hemo doc to OK me and deal with the vW meds I need before and after the surgery. If he doesn't OK me I am going to be very upset, I just ordered several hundred $$$ for compression garments and aids to deal with healing sleeping and life. Six days and I am spending them running.
Hope everybody has a great day!
Off to do more research on life after a medial long thigh lift
Good morning Piney and my beautiful OFF sistas!
Oh, Piney, many prayers and good thoughts coming your way!
Well, I am glad to be back home, although we had a great week at our other lake house in East Texas. It's so peaceful there! Butch worked really hard at doing some much needed maintenance on the house, since we basically haven't been there in 2 years. (Been HERE babysitting for the past two years!)
Now we have 4 days to get ready for our big vacation in Belize. I have a "to do" list a mile long, and another "to pack" list almost as long. So much work to go on vacation! But I'm really excited! I'm hoping I can post on FB and OFF from BZ, as we are supposed to have wifi at the house we rented. I plan to take a lot of pictures, so if we're not friends on FB, you may want to friend me there so you can see the pictures. I'm Vickie Gibson Poe on FB.
Butch has our breakfast ready, so I'll close now. Don't have the time to linger on the computer today anyway. I read all the posts all week and love you all!
Good afternoon Piney, Vickie and everyone....
Piney...I sure hope can get things done before your surgery. I am praying your Doctor gives you the OK.
Vickie...so glad you made it home. 4 days until your trip....wow....that is coming up quick. I pray you can get everything done that you need to get done. I am going to miss you and hope you will be able to check in now and then.
I just came home from the hospital. My sister called me early this morning. She had just gotten to the hospital by ambulance. She fell and broke her hip. I had to contact her kids and wait until one of them could get there. I am leaving it up to them to take care of her. Her surgery is in about an hour. I have an appointment I need to get to now(Psychiatrist).
Prayers for our OFF family. Have a good day everyone.
Love and many hugs.....connie d
Connie,
Well, I know family is family, but is this the same sister you tried to live with? If so, I don't know that I would lift another finger to help her! She was sooo ugly to you! (But I'll bet she asks for your help--repeatedly!) You let her kids do for her. You have all you can do right now to take care of you. I mean it. You put yourself first for a change. Love you!
Vickie...yes...this is the sister that kicked me out!! This is her family that took her side!! Now I am good enough!!
I have been waiting for something like this to happen. She is not steady on her feet and is confused a lot. She should have been put in Assisted Living long ago. I tried to tell them that...well now they believe me!! She lost her drivers license because the state didn't feel she able to drive anymore. Hello...isn't that saying something????
I will be fine. I told them I can only do what I can do. Some days I just can't leave the house. I have to put me first. I will do what God wants me to do.
Thank you for caring....you know I love you much!
HUGS and more hugs....connie d
Hi Connie, agree with Vickie.
Bought new50 incht tv today on basis am working next Month May ( to pay credit card), it will dominate livingroom but will be most of my entertainment monthly budget from here on, so went for it. Of course they showed me many more expensive choices, curved new LG tv, but too rich for my budget despite amazing pixels pictures.... Am sure the tv bought will look good anyway far from all the competition....and once installed in my livingroom!
otherwise, feeling good, people say I look good after cancer treatments ( what did they expect me to look like?!) and am looking forward to relive life!
hugs to all who need them, Jennifer
