Travel Monday
Good morning, sistas!
I hope everyone is doing well this morning. We are getting ready to travel again. We're headed back to Nacogdoches with Mom today. We'll be there a full week, so don't be concerned when I don't post again this week. Rest assured, I'll be reading everything, but I just can't post from my phone or my Nook. Don't know why! I'll be taking my laptop, and I might get a chance to use a public wifi, like at McDonalds. If I do, I'll stop in and post.
Anyway, I finally got a few of our Easter pics up on FB. I tried and tried to create an Easter album, but stupid FB just would not cooperate! Grrrr. I had about 30 good shots I wanted to post, but oh, well . . .
I ate way too many sweets yesterday. I swear, even my teeth hurt last night from all the sugar. No more sugar for me!
So much to get done this morning, so I'll shut this down and get going. Love you all!
Good Afternoon Vickie and OFF,
I had a nice visit with Trent's parents at Colleen's house yesterday. When I first moved here, I'd hoped to become closer friends with Trent's Mom, but we just haven't clicked. Plus, Colleen has told me things she's done to manipulate Trent and her, as well as the things she's said that have hurt both of them. I also heard her use the "N" word during a conversation with Colleen. Oh my word!!! My son, Sean, who lived here for a few years, warned me Trent's family were bigots, and I naively refused to believe him. I have a zero tolerance for bigotry, especially any kind of intolerance. Hatred is taught and learned.
Anyway, today, I'm not accomplishing anything I really want to get done.
I better scoot.
Hugs,
Trish

Hi Vickie and my OFF family:
Not much happening here. I worked yesterday as usual ... my Easter dinner was leftover from Saturday, half of a footlong Subway turkey-ham sandwich. So festive! Talked to my mom and she kept asking if I got off for Easter ... no, it's not a national holiday.
Back to work today. Looks like we're going to get storms.
Well, that's all from me. Have a good day.

Good afternoon Vickie and OFF family,
Vickie i wish you traveling mercies and safety.
I hope you are all having a great day.
I want to recommend the most fascinating and inspiring program i watched on PBS. It is entitled" The Address" . It is a documentary about a school in Vermont that is specifically for boys who have learning disabilities and/or have been severely bullied and have behavior disorders. The boys are challenged to enter a special class that teaches them to recite the Gettysburg Address. For some it takes severe years to do it. But once they do they are honored at a formal banquet where they recite the address and receive a medallion. They learn the history behind the address and get to go to Gettysburg. Itvis narrated by several of the students. One of the boys gave the best metaphor about getting to success. He said being repeatedly bullied was like getting shot, then getting up and being shot again, and getting up and being shot again, and when you cannot get up anymore, either the devil dances or the angels come and lift you to your feet....... Well i have say, at that point i was on tears...box of kleenex tears. One of the boys wote a t-shirt to Gettysburg with the following on the front THERE IS NO SUBSTITUTE FOR VICTORY. So, if you want to be inspired or to have those around you be inspired, i strongly recommend this program.
Well guess i have gone on long enough. I wish you all a day filled with a little laughter, a lot of joy, and a sense of fulfillment.
Nameste,
Francine
