Happy Easter!
Happy Easter Carla and all my OFF Sisters,
I love Easter for the Spiritual significance, and that it is Spring.
Yesterday, I didn't get to post. Was at Lincoln's soccer game first thing in the morning. Then, tried to drag more parts of trees to my curb. Didn't get much done yet. Still have more to go.
Today, I just put a ham in the oven. I'm taking it to Colleen''s. She's making turkey, and green beans, and a bunny cake. I'm doing the ham and potatoes au gratin. Church has cancelled Sunday School, so after the 10 am. service, they are having fellowship. I am cutting out of that early, to finish making dinner.
Must scoot.
I hope this week has given everyone renewed hope in our faith in the Lord's forgiveness and love.
Love,
Trish

Good morning and Happy Easter everyone.....
Carla...no bunny baskets for me. I don't need chocolate either!!
As for me...I got up and read my scriptures and my daily devotion. I took my medication. Now I am checking in with my OFF family.
I have a quiet day ahead. Kyleigh decided to stay home today so it is just me. I will not be making my ham dinner today. I decided I am making something I haven't had in over 7 years...tator tot hot dish. Fattening I know but it is just calling my name.
I am wishing you all a beautiful day. "Happy Easter" to those celebrating with their families and friends or alone like me.
Prayers for our wonderful OFF family.
Much love and bunches of hugs to all.....connie d
Judy...this is the way my family always liked it...
1 to 1 1/2 pounds ground beef (I use ground turkey now)
1 can cream of chicken soup
1 can cream of mushroom soup
1 large onion -chopped
1/2 bag of frozen corn
1/2 bag of frozen tator tots
Cook turkey/beef with onions and season as you want
Add in soup and corn. Mix together well
Put in medium size casserole dish
Top with tator tots (completely cover the mixture)
Bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes to 1 hour
There are so many recipes for this....like I said this is the one we like. I will be freezing most of this.
Love you...HUGS....connie d
Good after noon OFF family,
Well i ate myself silly at the buffet today. I ate little bites of lamb, prime rib, ham, salmon, white fish, mashed potatoes, green beans, collard greens. Then i waited 15 mins and hit the desert bar. I had 2 bites each carrot cake, with cream cheese frosting, banana cream, coconut cream and cream pie. OMG..... i waddle out. I enjoyed every bite. I nearly fell asleep after we got home do to the sugar high. LOL. Claire ate the rest of the desert minus the whipped cream.
I hope you are all enjoying today. The weather here is beautiful.
Blessings for this gift of Easter and reminder of God's unending immeasurable and infinite grace.
Hello sistas!
We had a very nice Easter at Christie's house. She cooked a good meal. I brought 2 cheese balls and crackers, devilled eggs, and pies. OMG. The pies were so good! I tried really hard not to eat much dessert. But I also had a couple of jelly beans, a couple of chocolate eggs, a bite of this, a bite of that . . . ugh! I just finished eating a healthy apple to clear my palette. No more sugar for me for awhile.
The boys were very cute in their Easter clothes and had a good time hunting eggs and going through their baskets. I took a ton of pictures with my new camera, but have to figure out how to put them on FB now. It's supposed to have a wireless connection, but I have to read the damn book first to figure it out. Technology is grand except when it isn't.
Spent a little time outside this afternoon with all my "babies", a.k.a. flowers. I got everything watered and pinched back and in good shape. We're leaving for Nacogdoches tomorrow and won't be back for a week. There's no rain forecast, but it's not supposed to be super hot yet, so I hope everything will make it for a week while we're gone.
Anyway, we're leaving for Nac in the morning. Oh, yay. More packing and laundry to finish up tonight. I've got to pack clothes for a week and also figure out what cooking stuff to bring with me to the other lake house. We'll be having Butch's family get-together next Saturday, and I'll have to cook for that. Don't have a clue yet what I might make.
So, lots to do and lots going on. I'd better get to it while I can still think. My brain wears out early these days.
Love you all! (Don't worry if I don't post for a week.)
Vickie and OFF family,
Looking for a great dish to take to family event... this is the fastest and simplest desert i know. If you can open a container and can and stir you can do this.
Take 2 cans cherry pie filling,
1 can of crushed pineapple (same size as one can of cherry pie filling) . Juice and all.
1 can (larger size ) sweetened condensed milk.
Mix together well ~it will look awful. ..lol
Fold in one large tub cool whip or whipped cream.
Optional ~~ stir in chopped toasted pecans (i put in a lot.... 2 cups. )
Refrigerate. I decorate with maricino cherries and pecan halves. I have used this as a layer in a angle food cake, or in a goblet with layers of chocolate syrup. I also have put in a gramh cracker pie crust top with whipped cream and freeze. It tastes like ice cream pie.
It is so easy and tastes like you cooked all day.
Vickie, just a thought for next week
