T.G.I.Friday!

Vickie and All,

I am happy it's Friday but I am stuck at work...we are doing assessments on 1500 sophomores' writing.  While we are not scoring all 1500, we are doing 20%.  Tonight is the last night of four nights of intense reading and scoring. I am beat.

Vickie the itching sounds good.  I have always hated the way incisions itched.  Also, since they removed a large section of your abdominal skin, the nerves are going to be weird.  Until they reattach themselves to the right pathway, you may feel an itch in one part of your lower abdomen but when you scratch it, you will find you have to actually move over a bit.   Same with hot and cold water.   Even now, years after they removed all that skin from my belly, I still have some very weird sensations that aren't right where they seem to be.

My DH is driving down the Mt. to pick up the grandkids; of course, he has night vision problems so my teenage grandson is getting driving practice bringing him and the little ones back up the mountain. LOL.

I have very little news other than allergies making me ill and that our weather here is so nice and springy.

Hope you all have a good weekend.

Jeanne,

Yep, I have a huge "dead spot" in the center of my stomach that aches, but I can't feel it when I rub it.  Very odd sensation, indeed.  PS said the numbness might last a year or more.  Haven't noticed anything with water temps though.

My allergies are acting up, too!  It's oak pollen season here.  I thought I might get through it, because I rarely have allergy problems, but no.  Just another layer of misery to enjoy.  LOL!

Good luck with the grading.  I do NOT miss grading essays!

I am sitting here, after work (which puts me right at HOORAY to TGIF) and reading your posts from today and in the past. It's really wonderful getting to "know" you, I am really touched at how members of this group talk openly about life and how much true support there is between one another.

I will continue to learn about you all and chime in once in a while. Just  know I am here, and even though I am new in this group and I am newly surgeried, I do have a lifetime of experience and a lot of love to give.

Best,
Mary

Good Evening,

Not much going on. Dragged several large branches to the curb. Lots more out there.

Allergies are making crazy.

Phillies are winning.

Hugs,

Trish
