T.G.I.Friday!
Well, good morning everyone!
I am sure our working sistas are happy it's FRIDAY!
My incision is itching like crazy today. The plastic super glue stuff she used in place of stitches is starting to peel and flake and the urge to pick at it is almost irresistable! Swelling is down even more today and I don't feel quite as tender and sore. Maybe I'm healing??? Gasp! How could that be???
I'm about to lose all patience with my husband. I brought up taxes again this morning and again he said something about "later". I can't do the damn things by myself! He's the one who has the passport, not me. We have to submit all his entry and exit dates, plus some other stuff, since he works overseas. Grrrr. Don't want to end up having a fight about this, but he's getting on my last nerve.
What is everyone doing for Easter this year? My family is having a big reunion THIS weekend, but we're not going to try to go. It's a 4 hour drive there and another 4 hours back. Not sure I'm ready for that. Then Butch's family is having a get-together the weekend AFTER Easter and we are planning to go that. In between, for Easter weekend itself, I think we are going to Christie's house. Carrie is coming in, and I plan to try and get Mom here (somehow). Everyone wants to see the new house and Benny can hunt eggs in the new backyard. Should be fun. I just hope I'm well by then.
Connie, darlin', thinkin' about you today and praying you have a better day. Judy, hope you will have an uneventful weekend this time around! Trish, hope your sinuses are better and you're feeling better now. Carla, I'm glad you decided to stay put! You do need to rest every now and then! LOL! Cindy, hope things are well with you and your family. Jennifer, how you doin', hon? Debbie, Jo, Cindy B., Maui Karen, Nancy B., and everyone else--we miss you! Tried posting a couple of times this week, but cyberspace claimed them. Just popping in to say am getting better, skin improving very much, went to the pool again this week after not being able to because of the skin not tolerating rubbing of bathingsuit, but that seems ok now. Water is the only way I can do any exercise and I really was getting stiff and missed it.
Finalized and filed e-taxes last weekend ( can you see my halo?) but wondering when i'll see the refund as everything delayed by the latest vulnerability on the internet.
Weather improving and with it my mood. Easter will be low key, going to a movie with a friend...

Post Scriptum: Hey, I have on my first pair of zip front capris since my last surgery. They are a Land's End size 16, and they are TOO BIG! Whoopee! I'm wearing them anyway, since they are nice and loose around my tummy (and incision today), but I can really see a difference in my abdomen. Yay!

Thanks for the birthday wishes ... no big plans for today. I have to work. I made a cake to bring into work (German chocolate, my favorite).
No plans for Easter, either ... I'll be working then, too. Sounds like that's all I do, huh?
Anyway, not much else going on. Should get ready for work soon.

Evening OFF family...well we are bout to get ready to go to the funeral home...only going tonight as I found out last night the funeral will be here then the procession will be a LONG trip about 3-4 hours long!!!!!!! NO THANKS!!!!! So this is it for us.
I am feeling really down today...my so called friend/tenant Carol that lives behind us called me last night and said that someone was parked by the dumpster and if the squad had to come in there wasn't much room...well I was not in a great mood to begin with and said back to her well what difference does it make when your company also parks in front of YOUR place where there is NO parking???? She didn't like that and hung up on me!!!! Well this morning she called me crying and said her sister died. Now this makes it her daughter and mother now her sister. Sighs....I am not handling all this death right now very well. I know she is a basket case and I can't deal with her. I just can't. I have had it up to my neck with her trying to run this place...I feel bad I really do...I just can't go to her right now.
Just caught a guy trying to cut through here with his BIG dog. I stopped him and said oh no!!!!! Turn around and go ALL the way down to McClure and no cutting through here anymore!!! He said I was rude!!!!! He then went off on me calling me a ***** and F this and that at me...how was I rude?????? This property is NOT a cut to make it easier for the public to get through to the next area!!!!!!! Should I have called the police on him for using that language with me?????????
OK time to get ready for the funeral home...back is screaming...nerves are frazzled!!!

Vic...we went to the funeral home tonight...when we saw Irene she looked BEAUTIFUL!!!!!!!!! OMG they did a wonderful job on her!!! Rick broke down...He couldn't help it...he remembered her while holding her hand telling her to hold on help was coming....he loved her like his grandma...she always teased him when she saw him...we both cried right with her family...I am crying now again!!!
You are right though...we DO need one hell of a vacation and we need LONGER than 24 hours away from here!!!! And now that we have a good guy working for us...soon as he knows the way around here better we ARE out of here!!!!!!!!
