Sorry I was MIA yesterday. Guess I just didn't have anything to say. Unusual, I know! LOL!
Getting ready to go see the PS this morning. I hope I get some good news today. I hope the desmopressin worked and my blood clotted satisfactorily last Thursday. Then I hope they either decide to proceed with the surgery OR to just let this hole in my belly close up on its own. Either way, I am ready to be done with this mess.
Carla, have fun on your travels today. I don't know how you do it!

Just got confirmation from the hospital that my surgery is scheduled for this Friday at 1 p.m. I'm excited and scared all at the same time. The PS took a marker and drew lines all over my belly this morning to show me where she would be removing the excess skin. Wow. You just don't realize how much extra skin you have until somebody starts pinching and pulling at it.
Anyway, prayers and good thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

You bet Vickie, how wonderful surgery is going ahead and girl, you are going to look afterwards as though "you were caught between the elevator doors, i.e. TALL AND THIN"
Of course we are all rooting for you to get through this particular surgery as you will be living our collective dream of having the extra tummy skin removed...sending you best vibes, prayers, and wishing you best of results and this time : incident-free recovery.
Big kiss my friend, relax, they will be taking extra care of you since they know you are a special case!

Awww, thank you sweet Jennifer! Yes, the panni is an added bonus for sure. When she removes the excess skin, she will also take away the "hole" and most of my 8 in*****ision scar as well! Not that I have any plans to put my tummy on display for the whole world to see (LOL!), but it will be nice to have a nice-looking abdomen again!
I still can't believe the insurance is going to pay for this! Somebody pinch me!
