SATURDAY WHAT'S HAPPENING????
OK I am back...well its been a LONG week here...the "kid" called off Monday again because he said the "bug" he had before was still with him...we are now thinking he might have IBS not sure...or he just eats the wrong foods and "goes" a lot!! He is still on his phone when he thinks we are no****ching him...his friend comes here looking for him during working hours...has to be told yet what needs to be done even though he knows what he left undone the day before...yesterday was Friday and he though it was payday again...sorry...had to remind him we get paid every 2 weeks. timesheets go in Monday and payday is on the 31st. OMG its not the 28th?????? Had to explain once again the way we get paid....... On a happier note we had a few MEN come in a apply for the job!!! Rick said he is going to have a hard time choosing one as they are ALL great!!! Told him we might have to put all their names in a hat and pick one out... Might work that way?? Two of the men are my age if not older and the others are about Rick's age. All are very knowledgeable in the job. Rick is worried about the older ones out in the heat and the cold...I am sure they KNOW how to deal with the weather!!! I think he wants someone closer to his age is all. But we have another week yet to figure this out.
So other than that, my week has been busy working and I am beat. Been reading the posts everyday and just not posting myself. Sorry about that.
Vic...last night on tv I was watching buying Islands and they had one on Belize!!! OMG!!!!!! Buying one of the Islands there was about 2.5 MIL for starters but OMG its was BEAUTIFUL!!!!!!!! WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You go and ENJOY that luxury!!!! Man it IS pretty there!!!! Love the looks of the water and the landscape...OMG!!!!!!!!! Now for the new house you bought...the colors are not THAT bad...lol I know that are not your colors but...looks ok so far...
Eileen and Connie and anyone else that has Fibro...I went to my chiro dr's talk the other night and he was saying that if you have ever been in an accident that you whipla**** could given you fibro!!!!!!! Your spine needs adjustment and if you would like the paperwork I got I can send it to you. Just let me know. He said he wished you were here with me to attend this talk so he could talk to you about this. I wish you were here also. Anyhow it was very interesting to know this.
Trish, he said he could also help you with all your issues. The spine being out of place causes so many things and getting it back in place makes you healthy again. I am still looking for those papers to send you also. Thoughts and Prayers for the baby...hope it will be better soon!!!
Connie...I am sure you are having a great time with your grands!!! But you need to get back soon...Maryann is getting out of hand with the cowboys!!!
Had Bingo yesterday for the tenants and had a good time...wish more would come though...they don't know what they are missing!!
OH!!! I have an appointment April 10th to see about Health Insurance!!! Yeah I finally got in to see someone to help us!!! I have tried online and every place I have gone to it takes me to chat places?????? WTH????? So I gave up and looked for help...finally found some and she said it sounds like we qualify for Medicaid????? Yeah wonder what the spend down will be. Then yesterday I see they have at the library on Mondays they have helpers there also. Might go check that out Monday if I have time.
Well that is it for me. Sorry if I missed anyone...you know I love you all and think of you all!!!
Thoughts and Prayers for ALL that need them!!!!
HUGSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS
Good afternoon, everyone. I've been reading and not posting.
Saw my MIL Thursday and Friday. Hospice started on the 19th. They put her on steroids for four days to help with her breathing. I guess the steroid should reduce swelling in her lungs. Her confusion is so much worse that her caregiver and my hubby thought maybe she has a UTI but she had a UA that came back normal. This was somewhat distressing to hubby as it would have been comforting to blame her increasing confusion on a UTI instead of the fact that her Alzheimer's is progressing. I feel so bad for him. She no longer remembers my name but I think she still recognizes me as someone she knows. Anyway, I'm so glad Hospice has started. I think they will continue to tweak her meds to get her in the best position possible and have her as comfortable as she can be.
Hubby and I have done next to nothing today. Everyone needs a day like that once in a while and I don't feel bad about it at all.
We've had some glorious sunshine the last couple of days. There's a slight breeze out there but otherwise, it's really nice. Good to see sunny skies after all the rain we had earlier in the month.
I'm thinking about you all and wishing you a nice evening.
Cindy P.
Cindy...HUGSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS I have a couple tenants here that when they get UTI's they are almost incoherent...weird huh? Sorry you are all going through this with your MIL right now but she is being taken care of well...it IS sad that she has to go through this and you also. It hurts I know!!! Hang in there. Thoughts and Prayers continue.
HUGSSSSSSSSSSSS
Good morning Judy and all my lovely OFF sistas!
Yeah, Judy, Butch and I are talking about buying one of those islands for our retirement home.
Before I forget, I talked to Connie last night on FB and she said her phone wouldn't let her post on OFF, but she wanted to say "hi" to everyone. She is having a grand time! Today they are going to the beach and then they are going to drive through the mountains. Sounds beautiful there.
We've got the boys today. Chris is working and Mike is closing up his apartment this morning. We are headed down to the new house in a little while and we'll meet Mike there. I'll watch the boys while Butch and Mike do stuff. I want to take the stroller with us. I can take the boys to the park while the guys do their thing.
I am getting worried that my "hole" will close up entirely by next week. It's back to being itty bitty again. It's still deep, but just barely a little slit. Butch can barely poke the dressing down in there with the end of a Qtip. I don't know. Maybe that's for the best. If the hole closes up, then I won't need the panneculectomy. I would really like to have the PS, but at the same time, I dread another surgery. I'll just keep praying about it.
I've been planting all my pots with flowers and they look so pretty! I just love Spring, don't y'all?
I need to scoot! Got to shower and get dressed, then get the boys dressed. Already fed Budder his cereal and banana. Butch is feeding something to Benny. I don't know what. He'll figure it out.
Love you all!
Vic I envy you taking that trip!!!!! Wish we could do that also!!! BUT....having this place no can do plus no money for a trip like that...crap!!! So if you don't mind we will live it through you and Butch!!! OK??
I hope your wound does heal up but then I know how bad you want to have that panni done...wish I could get mine done but surgery.... NAH... not for me and all that pain again!!!
Have fun with the boys today and enjoy that warm weather!!!!

Hi Judy and Vickie and my OFF family:
Sorry I've been MIA lately; by the time I get up and get through the paper, it's time for lunch, shower and off to work. I sometimes read posts at work but don't have much time to post myself much. Busy, busy at work. Especially last night when I was doing five pages of sports and waiting for all those basketball games. It's nice that the games are on the computer so at least I can watch some of them now.
Vickie, if your hole closes up, will you still be able to get your panni done?
Judy, I do go to a chiro for adjusting and it does help. Haven't been for awhile and need to go back. I like her a lot; she runs a small office, just by herself. Some of the things she wants me to do I don't always agree with, but I try them (like tumeric to reduce inflammation ... tried it for a month, didn't help; doesn't mean it won't help others, just didn't help me). I may go back next week because I don't get a back shot until April 1.
Not a whole lot happening here. Just work. It was 70 degrees yesterday, but we're back down to the 40s today; supposed to get up to 55, but still not 70 again.
I scored a new old chair at work the other day. It was sitting by an empty desk. It's kind of ratty looking but it's very comfortable. It could use some cleaning and there are some holes in the upholstery, but otherwise, it's fine. I'm going to look for some fabric tape or patches to see if I can patch the holes. The chair is the same type as my office chair at home (which I no longer use because I have a laptop and sit in my recliner). Only my chair is black and this is a light brown, tan color.
Judy, I hope one of these guys work out for you. Some of the young guys have no clue what it takes to work in the real world. We had a young woman here who could barely get one page done a night. She got fired. She would do the obit pages, maybe the briefs package and then struggle to keep up with anything else. Meanwhile, the rest of us were finishing up her pages. She'd spend time on her phone a lot, too. I mean, I spend time on the computer ... but when I have nothing else to do. Those of us more "mature" individuals know the meaning of working ... we don't mess around. We go to work to work.
Have a good day, everyone.
Eileen...the dr said that you can't just go once in awhile though...you have to go atleast 3 times a week to make your spine better...if your insurance covers chiro...please go!!! Rick and I both are doing so much better since we started going.
I know what you mean on getting your work done first then playing around...this kid we have has no idea...good grief!!!!
Good luck on that chair!!!
HUGSSSSSS
When I first when to the chiro back in Grand Rapids, I went three times a week. After a couple of months, he told me to come back twice a month. Then it was whenever I felt I needed it. That's what this woman told me, too. I have insurance, and it covers so many visits (right now I'm under my deductible).
