You are right about living alone. It is easier at time. I have done it off and on my entire adult life. I like the separateness of it. I am also a very social person and a workaholic. So, having a roommate who is also a best friend helps with both issues.  When i was working, Claire was the one who would call the office and tell me to go home. Even when i was living in Washington DC. 

It is not so much that my hair is so long, but it is thick and my arms are weak. So i only do it a segment st a time holding my blow dryer.  I am doing better with it now that i am working out.eventually it won't take so long.

Hi Everyone - Just have a few minutes, busy day.

Vickie - you mentioned a medic alert bracelet the other day.  Someone recently posted a link on the main board for a company that makes really nice bracelets.  Don't know if you'd be interested (some are pricey) but thought I'd post the link just in case.  medical alert bracelets. Hope you get to have your surgery done so you'll be able to travel in May.

Tomorrow I'm getting a daybed with trundle for my living room.  Right now I have a futon that is literally falling apart, plus the mattress is in really bad shape.  I'm excited because I won't have to sleep in the recliner any more, plus when my granddaughter comes for a visit she can sleep on the trundle (with her Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle sleeping bag I got her - she wasn't interested in Hello Kitty or Dora The Explorer!).  I'm looking around the kitchen/living room and planning all sorts of small jobs - replacing blinds, putting up curtains, and re-finishing the doors to my kitchen cabinets.
