Good morning Maryann and sistas!

A spa day sounds really good about now!  Lucky puppy!

Had a really busy day yesterday and another coming today.  Yesterday, we spent most of the day at the new house. Got those two upstairs windows replaced and it looks so much better! The carpet people were supposed to come yesterday morning, but didn’t show up until nearly 6 p.m.! However, they did come, and that’s what counts. They re-stretched the carpeting in two of the upstairs bedrooms and part of the hall. It looks much better. Now Chem Dry can come today and clean it all and hopefully make the carpet look like new again. (If they could do that at my old house in Nac, surely they can do the same here.)

Butch and I went to Lowe’s and bought all the floor tiles for re-tiling the 3 bathrooms. We also bought 3 new deadbolts and Butch changed them yesterday afternoon. Now nobody has keys to the house except for us.

I had to go to the Wound Care Center yesterday, too. I am not very happy. For one thing, my wound didn’t close up any last week. Grrrr. Last week the doctor did that debridement and opened up the top of my little hole a bit. Yesterday he stuck some kind of probe in there and turn on the electricity and routed it out! That hurt! And then he announced that I need to go see another surgeon next Tuesday! He says that maybe—just maybe—this plastic surgeon could do a “one step closure” and we could be done with this thing. OKAY! Sounds good to me, all except for the other surgery part. I am, understandably, a little leery of having more surgery, but if it will end this long slow recovery, I guess I have to do it.

Today Chris and I are going to the City of Schertz to get the utilities put in her name. She doesn’t have the $250 deposit for the water, so I will pay that for her, but the utilities are going in HER name, not mine. (Been there, done that.) Then we are going to look for paint samples. And today we also have to measure for the new window blinds. Butch is going to hang at the new house and work on a section of the back yard fence and the gate.

Oh, and one more thing: I got my car back yesterday!!! Hurray!

Hope everyone has a great Friday and I hope the weather warms up EVERYWHERE!  It's sunny and gorgeous here today.  I just LOVE spring!

Vickie - could you please wrap Butch up and Fed-Ex him to me?  I could so use a handy guy like him!  I have so many projects that I can't handle myself.  I promise to take good care of him.  Then I could forward him on to another Sista who needs some help.  He'd eventually make it back to you.  Seriously though, I'm hoping after I lose some of this weight, I'll be able to get on a step-ladder and put up new blinds/curtain rods, paint a bedroom, etc.

Paying bills this morning, then off to do some grocery shopping.

Maryann....I so could use a spa day too!! Your dog is very lucky!

Vickie...it sounds like you have been extra busy with the new house. I am sure it will be great when it is all done. You are so lucky that Butch can do so much of the work himself. I hope you post some pics when it is completed!! I pray the plastic surgeon can finished that area in your tummy and it will be all behind you for good!! Sorry you had to go through more pain again at your doctor appointment. HUGS!!!!!

Mary....I am so happy for you. That surgery can't be too far away now!! You have been missed these last few days!

As for me...not doing to much today. Kyleigh is coming over for the day. I will take her back to her place this evening. She wants to spend a day with me before I leave next week! 

It is warm here today. It isn't even noon and it is already 25 degrees. High of 32 today! I will gladly take another day of this. If the sun was shining the snow would melt even faster!! I will not miss the snow when it is gone!!

I need to go and get my first walk in before I pic up Kyleigh. I will be checking in later.

Good Afternoon Everyone,

I was at Colleen's this morning, and part of this afternoon.  She had to take Lincoln to speech therapy.  Izzy stayed home from school, with an intestinal bug.  Poor Frankie was absolutely miserable.  He was whiny and cranky.  I finally gave him his pacifier, which he normally only gets at bedtime, or naptime.  While he was walking toward the couch, he slipped and fell right on the floor.  He snuggled with me, and was ready to take a nap.  Colleen called, and said I could give him a children's Tylenol.  So, we took his sippee cup, and his pacifier, and headed for the crib.  He went right down for a nap.  After he was asleep, I found his sock monkey on Colleen's bed.  He still has a bruise, and swelling near his left cheek bone.  

I'm going with Colleen, and the kids, this evening.  There's an indoor carnival at Lincoln's school, where Colleen taught till she gave birth to Frankie.  At Christmas, I went to their craft fair, and won the 50/50.  Maybe my luck will hit again.

I'm going to take Utley out for a walk in a few minutes.  It's 46 degrees outside.  He spent an hour out on the front patio, asking in the sun.

Must scoot.

Good after noon Boo.  My dogs get spa days too and I don’t.

Vickie glad to hear you got the car back and house is coming along.  Hopefully the PS can take care of the wound.

Mary you for sure will be able to start doing for yourself soon.  I so remembering having Bill running up and down the stairs for me ‘cause it hurt my knees.  And he is over 20 years older than me, shame on me.  But, now I can return the help as he is going thru knee replacement.  It sure makes a difference being down 120 pounds.  Now if it would just warm up so I can do more outside with him.  I HATE cold.

Connie we hit 47 today.  What a heat wave.  Now we are having a big melt and another refreeze and more snow.  What the heck!

Yesterday we hit a new record of 88 days in a row with over an inch of snow on the ground.  With 16 inches still here it will be more days in a row with the new snow before this can all melt.

Debbie you are so crafty.  I am doing a one day scrapbook tomorrow for charity.

 Trish isn’t this weather we are having today GREAT!  

I can't wait until next Friday to get out the stitches the surgeon missed last Friday out.  I was able to get the forth out but the Bill can't get under the knot to snip a thread.  I know I could get them out if I could take my head off to get to it

Afternoon OFF family....quick stop in for today...had to go to Chiro dr..back crack and neck crack!! YES!!!!!! Then to Menards for a couple things then Walmart for a faucet...back home and set up for Bingo...had a good turn out today!! Had a couple tenants get into it over loud talking and they couldn't hear me calling...OMG!!!!!!!! One got up and left...I agreed with her when she came back afterwards...the other tenant DOES have a BIG mouth and talks NON STOP!!!!!!!!!! I told her I WILL stop her next time if she does it again!!!!!!!

Weather is so nice today!!! It is 53* RIGHT NOW AND IT IS GOING ON 5PM!!!!!!! Rick washed the truck and car and is now waxing them pretty...lol. Me...I am TIRED!!!!!!!!!!!

So that is it for me for today...maybe tomorrow I can chat more...LOL
