It's Tuesday Already

Good Morning.  Can't believe it's Tuesday already.

Kind of sad this morning.  We went to see my MIL yesterday.  She is declining so fast.  She has Alzheimer's and numerous serious health conditions.  She has become quite oppositional at night and very anxious.  It hurts to see her this way.  We know that she would not want to live like this if she were aware of her condition.  Prayers are welcome.

Hubby had a horrible migraine that lasted a couple of days this week.  Whenever we have weather changes (particularly when storms are coming in), he suffers.  Even though we love living on the coast, I keep wondering if there is a better place to live for his migraines.

Hope that you all have a good day today.  Take care of yourselves and enjoy the day.

Good Morning Cindy,

Your poor husband with the migraines.  My ex, daughter, and son, Sean, got them.  MIL used to get them too.  Before Imitrix, we'd have to take her for a Demerol and Visterol shot.  Then, we'd have to take her straight home, and to bed.  If she couldn't go right to bed, the headache wouldn't break.  Now, with Imitrix, my ex and kids got relief.  Not sure if your hubby has tried it.

Vickie, I appreciate your concern about me shoveling, but I'm in a no win situation right now.  Unless someone else comes and clears my mailbox and walkways, I have to do it.  That's why I'm investing in a snow blower when the weather changes.  I can't afford it right now.

Speaking of Nooks, Isabel is going to get a Kindle Fire when she reaches a certain level in her Reading.  Colleen promised it to her last year.  The Kindle Fire is also a Tablet, where the kids can play games.  It has a parental control setting, where Colleen can set a time limit on game playing, and the games shut off.  Izzy is really excited about reaching her goal.  I think she's only two levels away from it.  She should reach it by June, I think.  She's in First Grade right now.

I had to reschedule me labwork for this afternoon.  Colleen needed my help yesterday afternoon.  I made some progress in my bedroom, but need to get back in there.  So, I'd better scoot, get dressed, and get back to work.  It'll take me days to finish that room, and my spare room.

Hugs and Love,

Trish

Hello Trish....we must have been posting about the same time.

That is wonderful that Isabel will be getting her Kindle. My Gracie got one the same way.  Grace too is only allowed certain times to play games. She would rather read anyway...LOL!!!

I hope you can get more progress done in your room today. I know how much you want that finished.

Love and hugs....connie d

Hi, Trish.  Hubby can't take Imitrix or any other triptan class drug because of his heart attack.  That's very unfortunate because they are the only thing that ever really worked for him.  We should ask his dr. about Demerol and Visterol shots.  Perhaps they could be a solution for the really bad migraines he sometimes gets.  His problem is that he can and often does get 4-5 headaches a week.

Good luck with your labwork and also cleaning up your bedroom and the spare room.  I used to be a cleaning fiend.  Now, I simply detest housework.  Oh, for the limitless energy of youth.  :)

Good morning Cindy....I wish this week would slow down a bit....I have lots to do before I can leave on my trip next week!!

You can count on prayers from me for your MIL. It is so hard to see them declining like that. God Bless you all!

Sorry your hubby has to deal with migraines. They can be so painful. Sending prayers for him as well.

As for me...working on rearranging doctor appointments, ordering medications and all things I need done for my trip. I have to be sure apartment and storage rent and such is paid for the end of the month. One of the ladies here will be checking my mail and leaving it in my apartment. That is good so I don't have to have it stopped at the post office. It will be here when I get back.

I should do laundry today but I think I will wait until tomorrow. I am feeling better but still very tired out. I will sort it and have it all ready to do in the morning.

Wishing you all a beautiful day!  I keep thinking of Vickie's beautiful flowers. That makes me smile!!

Prayers for many of our awesome OFF family.

Lots of love and oodles of hugs....connie d

Connie:  Hope your trip to Oregon is really great.  Be prepared for rain.  We have storm warnings for the next week or so.  (I don't know where in Oregon you're headed -- we live on the central Oregon coast and get lots of rain here.)

Thank you for the prayers for hubby and my MIL.

Cindy, so sorry your are going thru this with the MIL.   DH, Bill had a knee replacement in September and had a ruff time.  The anesthetist said the the anesthetic can cause latent symptom of Alzheimer to appear.  It is really hard and it is bothering him as he knows it is happening to him at this point.

Tri****o am trying to get thru my bedroom and the next spare/office.  I keep working away and than turn around and it seems to be as bad or worst.  It is hard with two hoarders in the same house.  I got rid of lots of my bigger stuff just to have it keep popping up.  Hopefully the snow blowers will go on sale soon if any are left.

Connie I would love to have some rain as it has been snowing again today. -3 this am again.

Vickie good luck with the closing!
