SATURDAY WHAT'S HAPPENING

Morning OFF family...Well still waiting to hear from our last employee on the apartment keys he took home with him. Even his wife is not returning our calls. WTH?????????? So last night Rick and Michael broke into that apartment and got what he needed out of there. I told Rick today he needs to go buy new lock set and replace it and also new mailbox lock and extra keys for all and Jerry will be charged for them!!!!!! He wants to play ass he met his match!!!! I told him when he started don't F**K me over and we will get along!!! Well he crossed the line!!!!! AMEN!!!!! Guess I lost my AVON lady also. Right now who cares!!!!!!!!! And here I thought they would make great managers at one of the other complexes????????? WTH was I thinking???????? Judy needs her head examined!!!!!!

Winter storm MAJOR winter storm is on the way...have a young kid coming at 10 for interview...not sure this is going to work out. He tried for this job before...but to get help with cleaning snow...MAYBE for that. Not sure yet.

Good morning Judy and my lovely sistas!

So, Judy, having fun today?  Oh, you poor baby!  I hope the new interview goes well. 

It is so warm here today.  Love temps in the 80s!  We'll get "cold" again next week, but our winter is almost over here.  I am in gardening mode!  Set out some more pansies and snapdragons yesterday and planted my caladium bulbs.  Time to get my ferns out of the greenhouse and hang them up again.  I just love springtime, don't y'all?  And it IS spring today--March 1st!

We lucked out today and Chris got the day off.  So we don't have to babysit the boys today, but we will have to tomorrow.  Don't know what we might do today.  So far, we're all still in our pajamas.

Our closing on the new house got pushed back to Tuesday, but that's okay.  We will do our final walk-through with the realtor on Monday and hopefully that will be that! 

I have rarely seen my husband so animated about anything the way he is about Belize.  You have to understand, my husband is not a "chatterer".  He'll talk when he has something to say, but other than that, he's fairly quiet.  OMGoodness!  He 'bout talked my ear off yesterday about Belize.  He's just brimming over with ideas and plans.  It's very enjoyable to watch, but I keep warning him, I'm not at all sure I'm ready to move out of the country, much less to the JUNGLE!  LOL! 

Oh, I had a painful visit to the wound care center yesterday.  My little "hole" is trying to close up on the top, but hasn't yet healed up from the bottom all the way yet.  So the doctor did more debridement yesterday.  They supposedly numbed me up first, but when he made that first scrape/cut, I jumped.  The doctor said, "Oh, did that hurt?"  Well, yeah, Doc, why do you think I jumped???  Now they are saying about another month of healing.  Sigh. 

I am not a very patient patient.

Oh, yeah, one more thing: I wanted to tell y'all about a new product we tried last night.  We had seen it advertised on TV, but then we found it at Bed Bath and Beyond yesterday.  It's called the "Potato Express".  It's a red cloth "pocket" for cooking potatoes in the microwave.  It claims you can cook baked potatoes in the microwave in 4 minutes.  Well, it actually took ours 8 minutes, but then they were perfect!  SO much quicker than an hour+ in the oven (which heats up the whole kitchen), and they didn't taste like microwaved potatoes either.  I'm going to buy several of them for stocking stuffers for Christmas next year.  Only $9.99.

I want 80 degree weather....hell I want 40 degree weather!! It is now -7 and feels like -23. This is the winter that never ends!! No sunshine for the last few days either. More snow on the way too...OMGosh!! Please Vickie....send some of that warm weather to me!! 

Glad Chris isn't working today. You and Butch can putz around in your yard and enjoy talking about Belize!! I had to laugh over your comment about Butch's chatting...LOL....think he is excited?? 

So sorry about your appointment with the wound care doctor. Another month must seem like forever. God Bless you sweetie!

I have never heard of that "red cloth pocket". It sounds like a great idea!!

Your husband's eagerness to move to Belize sounds like my husband when we talk about moving to the Middle East.   Of course, we are not retiring but we will be making enough money to retire much earlier than we had both planned.   We have everything in place to move so I am waiting now for my present contract to end.   I think you will love Belize.  I go there almost every year and the people are nice; however, there are some cultural differences that take a bit of time to get use to.  Since the longest that I have been there has been about six weeks, I am so not an authority, but I can tell you that economically, the cost is so much cheaper than here.  It's also humid, but if you have an air-conditioned house, you can so tolerate it.   Just wash all the fruit and vegetables good and don't drink the water and you should do fine.   

Thanks Jeanne!  Most everything I've rented does have AC except for one little cabana in the Cayo District, but we will only be there 2 nights.  Hopefully it won't be too bad.  And yes, I know about the fruits and veggies.  I've googled homemade vegetable wash and it's really easy.  Just some water, vinegar, and a bit of baking soda.  I should be able to make it right there in Belize and hopefully keep our fruit and veggies clean. 

The thing I'm wondering about is SUNSCREEN!  OMG.  I'm a redhead who burns easily.  I will, of course, take some with me, but I will have to break it down into little 3 oz bottles for the airplane.  I hope it is readily available everywhere in Belize, because I'll fry without it!

Have you ever tried those little personal mosquito repellant things you clip onto your belt?

Sorry to hear about you little hole. I had one that started small, but it just won't heal and ended up getting larger.  It took over a year to heal and i hated having it debrided. It was such a bummer because i needed to have my knee replaced and the surgeon won't touch me till it healed. Too high. Risk of infection. So be patient and let the healing take its course.

Oh, I'm sorry about your year of healing.  This thing is taking forever to heal!  I had a hysterectomy 3 months ago in December.  Developed internal bleeding and had a 2nd exploratory surgery less than 24 hours later.  THEN I got a staph infection on top of that.  That staph infection really kicked my butt.  My big incision opened back up and I've been going to the wound care center weekly ever since Christmas Eve.  They tell me I'm healing well, but to me, it seems to be very slow progress.  But I will try and be patient, like everyone says.  The debridement is a real b*tch though, isn't it?

Judy....you poor girl.....always so much added stress in your life. Maybe you need to have these guys turn in their keys at the end of the day. Why do they need to take them home? Do they really need keys for everything? I don't know how you hold it together some days!! You are right....these guys don't really want to work. The young man may work out. My Nic works his butt off. He is such a hard worker and always on time. He doesn't like not being busy!! Nic does snow plowing too. He has many requests!! Hopefully this young man will be the same way. Good Luck!! 

As for me....I am relaxing! I had such a busy day yesterday. Kyleigh and Dan loved the lasagna. Dan had three huge pieces!! He ate half the loaf of garlic bread too!! Where do these guys put this food?? Later he had a huge bowl of ice cream and chocolate chip cookies too!! We had a really fun visit. It was really nice having them here for the evening. 

I have a runny nose and a slight cough this morning. I will be resting today. I need to nip this before I leave for Amanda's! If it isn't better on Monday I will get a hold of my doctor. Hopefully it will leave on it's own!

Well the interview went well...he is going to start soon as the weather hits...told him its not all easy work sometimes its hard but most of the time EASY...summer he will sweat his buns off...winter...freeze!!!!! He is willing to learn!!! OK!!!!! 30 day probation!!!! OK...

NOW....just found out a tenant that wrote a check for LAST months rent on a CLOSED account is trying to SNEAK out moving!!!!! Oh yeah!!! Rick is on his way over there now!!! Wonderful huh? And the one that died...her boyfriend is still here and told another tenant he has til today to get out or he has to pay rent. HUH????? He had til LAST night to get out...today is MARCH its a NEW MONTH!!!!!!!! HELLO!!!!!!!!!!!!! OMG what an idiot!!!!!!!!!!! This was all put in writing for him!!!! I swear if I start drinking I may not stop!!!!!!!!

Repair man was here for the dryer that was broke down...needs a new motor. WONDERFUL!!!!!! Make my day!!!!!

OK Need to take a walk to tenants see what is going on for myself...

Judy....I am glad you are giving the young man a try. He can't be worse then the rest of them were!! He must be pretty determined as he tried again to get the job!!

That tenant that wrote a check on a closed account can be taken to court. That is fraud and a serious crime. I hope your boss presses charges! Hope Rick got there in time!  That other guy is just a moron!! He needs to be charged for March rent!

Please don't start drinking.....you will never be able to stop!!
