Happy Wednesday!!
Good morning everyone....
Where is everyone?? Sorry you have to put up with me starting the thread again!
Vickie....I finally got to reply to your post last night. I also got to check out the other two places where you will be staying. I love the thatch porches on the on the hotel. It makes it look so beachy!! It reminds me of Maui!! What a beautiful area you will be in!! I love the other little place too. Very, very cute! I love all those beautiful white sandy beaches. Most of all the bright beautiful sunshine!!! I look forward to seeing what the tree house in the jungle will look like....LOL!!! I wonder if they still have swinging vine pathways from tree to tree!!
As for me....not much. I spoke with my granddaughter Amanda last night. I will be going to Oregon on the 12th of March until the 31st. Because of her job issues we pushed it back a bit. That is fine with me. Now I have a little longer to get things in order before I go. I don't have much else planned for today. It is brutal out there with 50 mile an hour winds. The temp is -7 but feels like -22. Temps will be dropping as the day goes by. We will have a lot of blowing and drifting snow.
I am worried about Judy. I am sure the weather isn't good there either. Judy....when you pull your head out of the snowbank let me know you are okay!!!
Wishing you all a wonderful day!!
Prayers for many of our beautiful OFF family.
More love and bunches of hugs to all....connie d
Good Morning Connie and Everyone Else!
Connie - will this winter ever end? I'm reminded of an old Twilight Zone episode where a woman was delirious - dreaming of the hot sun and the world ending due to the sun coming closer to earth. Then you see her actual world - it was freezing because the sun was moving away from the earth! I feel like this is an endless winter.
Dropped of the Sleep Apnea kit this morning. SO said he could hear me snoring and snorting last night. I'm sure I have SA. It will delay things a bit, but from what I learned yesterday, it's important to treat it. One man recently had a heart attack, and the doctors related it to SA. I have congestive heart failure, and doctors said it was caused by me not taking my blood pressure medicine, and possibly SA. Boy, if only I followed my doctors' instructions in the past. Didn't take bp medicine due to finances - but never realized it could cause heart damage.
Hugs and Prayers to everyone.
Mary....so sorry about your heart. I guess that is a lesson learned. We need to take meds like that to warrant off other illnesses. When it comes to those kinds of things the doctors do know what they are talking about!!
Your surgery will come when it is the right time. Plan ahead as you will need to be on calcium CITRATE and vitamins every day after your surgery. If not you will eventually have more serious issues. There is nothing cheap about eating after this surgery either. Lean meats and fresh vegetables. They tend to cost more. But then we eat less!! Good luck sweetie!!
I had to laugh at your Twilight Zone reference.....that is so true!!! LOL!!!!
Love and lots of hugs....connie d
Good morning Connie and my OFF sistas,
Well I was going to complain about it being cold and wet here today, but after reading Connie's post, I believe I'll just keep my mouth shut! LOL! (It's in the 40's all day today here, but that's COLD to me.)
So much going on today. I have too many irons in the fire right now. Meeting the roofer, floor tile man and carpet man at the new house in a couple of hours. I'm really glad it is raining today since we are going to decide if the roof is really leaking or not, and if so, get the roofer to honor his warranty and fix it.
I picked out three sample floor tiles at Lowe's yesterday and brought them home and let Chris pick the one she likes the best. There. She's happy and I'm happy. Easy enough.
Still making reservations and things for our vacation. My Lord, trying to find a rental car for the entire month of May is making me crazy and BROKE! The car will be the biggest expense of the whole vacation. Rooms are cheap; cars are not!
Leaving in less than an hour, so I've got to hop in the shower now. Will check back in later with you all. Connie, SO happy that you are going to visit your family next month. That will be wonderful for you. I hope it is warmer in Oregon than it is at your house right now!
Love you all!
Vickie....it is warmer in Oregon but it rains all the time....not much sunshine....that is what I need the most!! Being with my sweet Amanda will however brighten my days...Tyler too!!
I am glad Chris picked out her floor tile. Now she will be happy and like it that much better. So what color themes is she going with??
I hope you can find a decent car to rent at a more reasonable price....WOW that can really add up!! Tell Butch you may have to resort to mopeds!!! LOL!!!!
Have a wonderful day....try to relax a bit now and then...remember what you just went through physically!!
Love and more hugs...connie d
Hi Connie and my OFF family:
It's cold here, too, but not as cold as in Minnesota ... 20 degrees but feels like 13. I have no big plans ... got one load of laundry in and will do another (couldn't fit it all in one load). I used to separate whites and colors, but there's not enough whites right now so I just do one big loads a lot of weeks. This week, it's two big loads. In the summer, I have more lighter clothing. In the winter, it's darker.
I got up at 7:30 a.m. for some reason this morning, so after trying to go back to sleep, I just gave up and got up. Now I'm sleepy.
I may run out later and get some birthday cards ... a few birthdays later this month and next month. And I need to fill out the paperwork for my recliner. Other than that, not much happening here. Just going to be lazy unless I decide to get the vacuum out, but right now my back is having some spasms.
Eileen....I agree I have way more dark clothes in the winter and less whites. I end up throwing my light clothes in with my lighter colored sheets or towels. I look forward to summer not just because of the warm weather but we can wear a lot less clothes!! Shorts, tank tops and flip flops....woooohoooo!!! I am so ready!
I hope you can get a nap in if you work tonight.
I guess you got your chair by now. I hope you enjoy it!!
Sorry you are having back spasms. I was last night too. When the weather changes so much I tend to get more. I hope you feel better by now.
Much love and lots of hugs....connie d
Morning,
I was going to complain about our much needed rain and highs of 64!! I'll keep it! Were finally getting some rain today.
Connie so happy for you with your up coming trip to Oregon. I know you'll have a great time. I'm going in April to Oregon, to bad it's not at the same time or we could meet up.
Vickie, If you need a driver on you trip I'll be happy to help. lol!
Mary, hang in there keep moving forward and everything will fall into place. Prayers coming your way.
Not much going on, finishing up a baby quilt for a neighbor. Hope you all have a great day,
Thoughts and prayers for all,
Debbie
