Monday - Everyone must be busy!
Surprised no one started the thread earlier. Everyone must be busy.
Not much going on here - Taylor's keeping me busy. But her Mom is missing her and might come pick her up tonight, instead of tomorrow night as scheduled.
Taylor was eating breakfast earlier - cereal with blueberries. I was 10 feet away, scrambling up some eggs for myself when all of the sudden there was a crash. She was eating on a tv-tray, and must have leaned on it and it collapsed - cereal, milk and blueberries flew across the room. What a disaster. She was scared more than anything. But I got it cleaned up fast - she was upset but I told her I knew it was an accident and I wasn't mad at her. She recovered quickly - but an hour later she apologized for making a mess. Told her she wasn't being bad and it wasn't her fault. She's priceless.
Other than that, not much going on. Playing puzzles on the computer and making kid-friendly meals and snacks. Chicken nuggets, juice boxes and Go-gurts are in demand!
Hope you all have a good day - whatever you're up to!
Still learning. Currently in pre-op stage.
Good afternoon Mary and everyone....
Mary....glad all is going well with your granddaughter. I agree it was a accident. You handled it well.
My granddaughter never wanted me on the computer. We always had to color, paint, do puzzles, play house... on and on....I was worn out all the time. I am glad I did as I loved thoses days the most!! Lots of happy memories were made tired and all!!
Enjoy your time together making memories!!
As for me....I showered and then did a couple loads of laundry. No appetite today. I had a protein drink and a Pure Protein Bar both for breakfast and lunch. I am going to try to eat something solid for dinner tonight. If not it will be the same for dinner. I think it is because of all the pain meds I had to take the last two days. Glad that is better now. Fibromyalgia and arthritis does not like this weather. Tomorrow I get injections in my thumbs. I can't wait!!
Wishing you all a happy day!! Prayers for many of our OFF family!
Love and many hugs....connie d
Yes, Mary and Connie, I've been extremely busy since I woke up this morning. I had laundry, and dishes to do. Made another batch of my buttercream frosting, and then took it to Colleen's for her to frost Lincoln's cupcakes for school tomorrow. Then, finally got my hair trimmed. I was looking like a mangy, shaggy dog. Whitney, my stylist, performed a miracle. From there, I went to hand therapy. Then, I got to a lab for my PT/INR. After that, I went to the YMCA and signed up for a membership, and a morning water exercise class three days a week. I alsso get two one-hour sessions with a fitness trainer, so I scheduled that as well. On the way home, I went to Meijer to get groceries. I did not need, or get, much. But, I still spent a ton of money.
As soon as I got home, the zoo called. I've been accepted in the docent training program. After I complete training, I'll be qualified to take small, live animals into schools, or other community groups, and teach about animals, conservation, etc. I have 8 weeks of training, Saturdays from 9:00 to 3:00. I'll be trained on handling any, or all, of the small animals that can travel. Plus, there will be other academic things, like conservation, species, etc. Potter Park Zoo is an accredited zoo, which means the docents are qualified to handle the live animals.
Must scoot.
Trish
Trish...I am so happy to hear you are excepted in the Zoo docent program!! You will be so good at that....congratulations!!!
Glad you managed to get your hair trimmed. I know how good that feels!! I am going to have my daughter do mine when I get there Wednesday!
It sounds like you will be busy at the YMCA....good for you!!
What exactly are you having done for therapy on your hands? I am curious.
Getting groceries can sure add up fast these days. I try to watch sales and use coupons when I can. My budget is tight.
I loved butter cream frosing. My niece is the head cake decorator for a very elite grocery store in Minneapolis. I have many of her fabulous recipes. Her butter cream frosting is amazing! I am sure yours is equally as good!! I hope Lincoln's friends at school enjoy the cupcakes!
Hugs and love....connie d

HUGSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS
Judy....I smile at you....you are always so animated!!
Sorry the drama queen and her loser son didn't show up. You are being more then generous with allowing him 2 days. Call the police if he is there anymore. Gosh you would think they could count to 2!!! Can't she be evicted if she allows him there more. It must be against her lease not to mention her housing agency. Keep on it and get her out of there. You will be happier!!
So sorry about the winter storm coming your way again!! I am sure you, like me, are sick of this crap!! ENOUGH!!!!! You have gotten way more then we have and we have a ton!
Hope you enjoyed your FB games!! I never play any.
Love, hugs, and prayers sweetie....connie d
