Groundhogs Day

Hi OFF Family, nothing much happening here, just progressing through what is now a headcold, although at night some mucus slips into my lungs and now occasionally have coughing fits bringing up what dripped in overnight....my nose is peeling from so much blowing! Nothing on my agenda until Tuesday when I go for a bone scan to serve as baseline as some cancer meds leach bones.  Am sleeping in fits and starts round the clock as my runny nose plugs up and I wake up with a start after about an hour or so...not very restfull. Taking it easy this coming week, have to get over this flu and get my energy back.

Hi Jennifer....so sorry you have the flu and are so miserable!! I hope you can get a restful nights sleep tonight.  Have you ever tried saline solution in your nose. I know it sure works for me.

Hi Connie: re saline solution in nose, I feel as though being "waterboarded" so not really for me....works for others like you but I get too panicky.

So sorry you're dealing with all the yuckiness of a cold.  I normally use tissues with lotion in them for my sinus/dripping, which is constant.  When my nose starts to feel raw from blowing, I get Kleenes Cool Touch Tissues.  They're in one of those smaller, blue boxes, like a cube.  They actually feel cool.  I buy them for Frankie sometimes, coz he's been dripping a lot lately.

I don't know if you can take Mucinex, but that really helps me with chest congestion.
