Good morning everyone!!

I really don't have much to chat about but I started the thread anyway.

I woke up with a cough. My nose has been running for days. Time to take some cold meds and get it gone! I have a lovely cold sore right above the middle of my upper lip. That is so priceless...LOL! I rarely ever have one but I sure do now!

Wishing you all a wonderful day!! God Bless!

Prayers for many of our precious OFF family!!

Much love and many hugs.....connie d

Only thing new to report is I went to my pain dr yesterday and he set me free!!!!!!!! He told me to keep working the arm because its still not 100% and it could come back again or go to the other arm!!! OK!!!!!!!!!!Said I was doing well enough on my own and not taking any pain meds so he said he would turn me out...WOOOHOOO!!!!!!!!

The weather here is nasty!!! Went from freezing our butts off to being above freezing...we are now getting rain...could turn to freezing rain later tonight or just snow...not sure. Mother Nature sure is a *****!!!!!!!!

Well I have to get off the PC because Rick wants me to clean my mess...yes I have a mess and it IS a HUGE one all around this pc desk...I admit I AM a slob!!!!!! So to keep peace...need to get it cleaned up or else we fight.

Thoughts and Prayers for ALL that need them!!!

Good Morning Connie, and OFF Family,

I spent last night babysitting the Munchkins for Colleen and Trent, so they could go grocery shopping all evening.  She also invited me over for dinner, as she was making a roast turkey breast in a roasting pan, with a rack, that I'd given them for Christmas.  It was yummy.  Frankie is so cute when he eats now, using forks and spoons.

Today, it's snowing, so I'm going to stay local.  I'd wanted to go into town and get a grocery order, but no such luck.  I have enough stuff to hold me over for now.  There were some things I wanted on sale, but I'll be okay.

When I was watching the kids, we did Facetime with my Christopher to sing "Happy Birthday" to him.  Casey had made cupcakes and put candles, and we sang.  Sean is in New York with Chris, so the kids could say "Hi" to him too.  Chris asked me to get cupcakes for the kids too.  I'm making some, because Lincoln had told him that today, the 1st of February, is his half-birthday.  At school, he's taking cupcakes on Monday for his half-birthday, since his birthday is August 1st.  I'm just making them for the kids to celebrate both birthdays this weekend.

I also have Boxtops to glue to sheets for Isabel's school.  Izzy's school collects Boxtops for Education, and does contests for classes to compete for the most brought in.  This month, the class that brings the most in wins a party, and a gift basket for their teacher.  Boxtops are on so many different products these days, not just Betty Crocker or General Mills cereals.  I need to buy some more glue and tape at Rite Aid when I go out in a little while.

I hope everyone stays warm.

Love,

Trish

Hello Trish....so nice that you spent time with your granddchildren last night. They love having you there with them!! It was nice that you could all sing "Happy Birthday" to Christopher. Also very nice that everyone got to say hello to Sean.

Turkey sounds like it was really good!! I love turkey!!

So glad you are staying local if the weather is bad. Keeping safe is more important then getting a few things that can wait.

That is sweet that you are making 1/2 birthday cupcakes. That made me giggle!! The things kids come up wit....LOL!

I was trying to save box tops for Grace. I just rarely ever use anything with them on it. I mostly just eat meat, fresh veggie's and fresh fruit. My friend Pam saves them for her. She always has a bunch!! I think it is a great thing for the schools to do.

Love and hugs....connie d

Hi Connie,

Actually, the teachers encourage the kids' half-birthdays for the summer birthdays to be able to celebrate with their classmates.

I get a lot of Boxtops on Ziploc Bags, Hefty Trash Bags, Scottissue and Towels, and Land o' Lakes Butter.

Must scoot.

Love,

Trish

Good morning sistas!

Sounds like another cold dreary day up north.  I'm SO sorry!  It's already in the 60's here, climbing up into the 70's this afternoon.  Now THIS is why I live in Texas.

Connie, bless your heart!  Please take care of you today.

Judy, hurray for being out of pain and out of the doctor's office for now!  You were hurting so badly for so long.  I'm so thankful that you are better now.

Chris and Mike both have today off, so that means Butch and I have the day off, too.  Except for a little while this morning.  They are going car shopping for Mike today.  I don't know what they are going to buy.  Mike has saved a couple thousand dollars, but that's not going to buy much car.  I hope they can find something reliable.  They desperately need 2 vehicles.

Butch suggested privately to me kicking in a little more money, but I said no.  We are already buying them a house.  There's a limit to how much we can do, you know?

We have to get ready for our trip to Nacogdoches tomorrow.  Butch has his appointment with his urologist on Wednesday, but we are leaving tomorrow.  If we're going to stay at our other lakehouse, I need some time to clean it.  I haven't been in there in two years!  And I know it is crammed full of stuff, because when we sold our big house, Butch and Juan moved a bunch of stuff down there and into the lakehouse living room.  It's got to be a big mess.  But I'm hopeful that we can get my sewing table out of the garage and bring it back with us.  It's one of those things I've really regretted not moving here.  I need to finish making the curtains for THIS house (I already bought the material ages ago) and I told Christie when they get moved, I would make curtains for her house if she buys the fabric.

My tummy is about to drive me crazy with itching!  OMG.  I just have to curl my hands into tight little balls to keep from clawing at my skin.  Itchy, itchy, itchy!  It's driving me nuts!

Hope everyone has a safe and fun weekend.  I may be out of touch for the next few days.  We'll be gone from Sunday to next Thursday.  I can read on my phone, but it's hard to post.  Love you all!

Hello Vickie....glad you are getting away. It will be just what you need!! Sorry about the awful itching. I remember that well. Keep those hands clinched!!

I hope Chris and Mike can find a car. At least it will get him to work and back. Maybe Mike's family could chip in some for the car.

I too will be leaving this week on Wednesday or Thursday. I will get back on Wednesday the next week. I actually am going to miss my little apartment and friends! I will have internet there.

I hope you and Butch can get at your sewing machine so you have it at your home. I know how excited you were/are to get your curtains made!!

Have a wonderul little trip. I know how it is not having internet and having to use your phone. I have a really hard time trying to get anywhere with that!

Love and oodles of hugs...connie d

Not much happening today - Taylor comes tommorow, and I'm all set for her.  Will have my daughter leave the car seat because I promised Taylor I'd take her shopping for a treat.  Will go to Big Lots and let her pick something out.  I'll also be able to get some spices while we're there.

Well, everytime I go to the Weight Center, they weigh me, naturally.  Not showing very good progress - last week I lost 4 pounds, this week I stayed the same.  I had gained a few pounds a few weeks ago. Dietician had said she wanted to see some weight loss progress during the classes.  I've about stayed the same, so I'm sure she'll be calling me in for another appointment.  I have a tough time in the evenings.  I went and picked up some cherry tomatoes and cucumbers for the evening - along with fat-free hot chocolate and jello.  I used to make popcorn - but use a lot of oil.  Tried the snack packs, low fat microwave popcorn - but I have a small microwave and usually half the kernels don't pop.  {{sigh}}

Hope everyone has a good day -- it's really nice out, cold but not frigid, and lots of sun!

Still learning.  Currently in pre-op stage.
