Tearful Tuesday (JK!)

Can I say I am FREAKING FREEZING??????????? OMG I am so cold I can't get warm not matter what I do!!!!!!!!! BRRRRR!!!!!! Sat in my office with the door closed most of the day drinking hot drinks...not helping...finally gave up and came home where it is atleast a bit warmer!!!!!!!! My feet feel like ice cubes!!!!! I am serious!!!!!!! So to whomever it was that pissed mother nature off...PLEASE APOLOGIZE TO HER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Nothing new here just COLD and MORE COLD!!!!!!!!

Judy, you need a bed buddy!  It's basically just a sack filled with grain that you can heat in the microwave and put on your cold feet.  You can buy one in the department stores or you can just make them yourself. 

If you sew, you can make a tube out of a pretty hand towel or fingertip towel.  OR, if you don't sew, just use an old tube sock and tie the end.  Fill the tube with dried lentils.  Tie the end or sew it shut.  Heat for 2 mins on high in the microwave.  It's lovely warmth!

My feet are always cold, too!  I can't imagine how cold yours must be with the weather you are having!  Warm {{{hugs}}}!

Vic soon as I get warm some idiot opens the door and all the cold air comes right at ME!!!!!!!!!! It never fails!!!!!! I have my bed buddy...Bandit...but he sleeps at the pillow...darn dog...lol I have the mattress pad already turned up on high for soon as I lock up tonight!!! I am READY to jump in and get WARM!!!!!!! WHY do these old people insist on going outside numerous times to come check to see if the mail is here yet?????? They can ALL see when the truck comes!!!! WTH????!!!!!! So help me if I could I would lock the door so they can't come in at all!!!!!! But I can't do that...darn it!!!!!! I just might stay home tomorrow all dam day just so I can stay warm!!!!!!!!

You know the socks they give you at the hospital? I've kept those and wear those to bed. My feet get so cold lately. And my hands. I have my fingerless gloves, but even with those lately, my hands are cold (and here I am drinking ice water, but that's how I like my water ... and even that doesn't help my extremely dry mouth). 

Geez, we sure do have lots of issues lately. Don't know what's ticking off my mouth/throat ... it's very dry and scratchy. If I don't talk, I'm fine, but as soon as I talk, I start coughing. I haven't talked much at all today because I'm at home with Juliette, who's discovered a new place to sleep.

Mary, yes, we do have short-term and long-term disability here. I guess I could do that ... don't know if I'm ready to do it yet. Don't know what I would do if I didn't work. Think I'd be awfully bored. I have no friends or family here and I don't think I'd want to move back to Chicago, where my family is (I don't want to live in Chicago again ... too crowded). I miss my "family" in Michigan, but don't like the weather up there ... really nasty. Guess I don't know what I want. Something I need to discover.

Eileen - you'll know when the time is right.  It is tough when you're alone.  At least when you're ready, you'll have the insurance available.  I worked in pain for a long time, but I wasn't ready to stay home -- until the day "I hit the brick wall".

Hello Vickie and everyone....

I have had a hell of a day!! I had a doctor appointment at the pain clinic at 2:00 PM. I told them when I got there I had another appointment at 3:00. If he couldn't see me by 2:30 I was going to change my appointment. They said, oh no that would be plenty of time. At 2:40 I was walking out the door. He saw me and asked where I was going. I explained the situation. He finally came in and saw me. It was just a follow up appointment. It shouldn't of been that long of an appointment. I ran two other errands before that appointment. After the appointments were done I picked up Kyleigh and took her to Wal Mart. She needed a few things and then some groceries too. I needed some things as well. Then we went to the bank. Then Pam decided she needed me to help her run somewhere. Then I took Kyleigh home. I then stopped and got gas in my car!!! I just now got home. I left home at 11:30AM. I am tired, hurting and freezing my butt off!!

I have no energy to answer anyone.....sorry!! I did read every ones posts. I will do better tomorrow...I hope!!

Prayers for many of you OFF friends. So much happening to everyone.

Just checking in.  I came back from two weeks in the Caribbeans to a HIGH of 8 degrees. I want to go back.

I had a one year follow up with the WLS today Connie, got there 15 minutes early to respect their time.  My appointment time came and went....I was the ONLY patient in the whole place.  No wonder Hurley, which used to be one of the best is losing the WLS competition.
