SATURDAY
Good Afternoon Judy and OFF-
Judy - dealing with older adults is like dealing with toddlers, they get upset about change and worry about their security. You have my thoughts and prayers.
Connie- so happy to read that you are bonding with your neighbors and building puzzles. Too cold for anyone to go out in your neck of the woods.
Vickie- you already know my opinion about the child care situation so I'll keep my mouth shut.
Trish- take it easy on the cleaning you're putting me to shame.
Well ladies, today is the Annual Meeting for the Friends group of the Refuge. I have to make a presentation about the book project. The last 10 days have been intense. We have 100 pages laid out and more to go. Of course we still have some photographers out photographing. One got the wished for muskrat. Two got incredible photos of the ice with the sun on it this morning. But we're getting there and I will be happy when the project is done. I've learned a lot about putting together a book and what not to do if I ever do it again.
Fixed a broken light fixture in the RV this morning. Took two weeks, but it's done. Hooked the water line back up and turned on "city" water. Tomorrow I'll fill the onboard water tank in preparation for the next polar vortex on Tuesday morning. Ran the generator today as the power went out when the ice started melting and falling off of trees and power lines.
Little progress on selling my mother's house in NH. The buyers are dragging their heels about getting the appraisal. We've already acknowledged that we will repair the major issues pointed out in the home inspection. I think they're going to walk and good riddance as far as I am concerned. This is a beautiful home, worth more than what they offered and they're trying to nickel and dime us to repair everything. We advertised it "as is". GRR! They are ******g me off!
Finished hand quilting another baby quilt. Tomorrow I want to put the binding on it and get it done. I'll start hand quilting another one that I have sandwiched and hopefully cut out one for my cousin's granddaughter.
Positive thoughts to all in need especially Annette. She'll be in my thoughts for the remainder of the day.
