Happy Saturday Everyone!!
Good morning everyone....
The weather is so wicked here I don't even want to run to the grocery store!! They have already closed schools here for Monday. The sun is shining and the snow looks so beautiful. It is very deceiving!! Wind chill Monday predicted -60 to -70 below!
Yesterday I made myself get my pictures hung. I got tired of seeing them sitting around. I have two larger pictures that maintenance will hang for me this week. I am glad I did. It feels more like home to me now!!
Judy....still praying for your mom. Hope you hear some better news today.
Vickie...always in my prayers as is Butch. Loved the pictures of Benny and Reese on Facebook. I am so glad you share!! Such happy little boys!
I will go out later and join the ladies doing puzzles. We have one going all the time. It is fun and a nice way to sit and get to know everyone too. Otherwise, it will be me, my Nook and a comfy blanket on the couch!! Migh****ch a movie later. Gee, I have an exciting life!! JUST the way I like it right now!!

Connie, I just know your new apartment is turning out to be a warm cozy little nest JUST the way you like it! I wish I could see your apple collection! I'm so proud for you. I hope you make some good friends there and it feels like home to you.
I am feeling better again today. I think I might have turned a corner. I had a good day yesterday. Butch and I were out for several hours. I did so enjoy the sunshine! Even the debridement treatment was okay because they numbed me up and I didn't even feel the doctor snipping away in there. Only problem is a hard lump that has formed under the secondary wound where my drain was inserted. He thinks I might be forming another abscess, so I will have an ultrasound on Monday to see what the lump is. Small potatoes at this point.
In fact, the only fly in the ointment right now is the fact that all these kiddos are making life impossible for Butch and I. And by kiddos, I don't mean the babies! Lord above. If Christie is awake in the middle of the night with a sick baby, she makes sure that EVERYONE is awake and aware of what she is going through. From 5 a.m. to 7 a.m. this morning, we were constantly woken up by her taking Benny to the bathroom. He had the runs and she made sure everyone knew it. How Butch and I are supposed to rest and recuperate under these cir****tances is beyond me. Everything finally settled down when she left for work and Butch and I slept until 10 a.m.
Please pray that we can find a house for these kids soon and get them moved out of here!
Well, I need to get ready for my dressing change. Butch cooked me scrambled eggs for my protein breakfast and they were good. Now he has to change my dressing. Poor man is on call for me 24/7. I do so love him for the good care he is giving me. He is the best nurse ever!

Hi Vic!!! So HAPPY that you are getting better!!!!! Worried so much about you!!!! Glad Butch is also doing better on his toe!! As for your daughter...well maybe when YOU can't sleep make some noise she SHE knows all about it!!!! LOL Can't she go stay at her boyfriends place til you are better??

As for Chris...you all need a sit down. She needs to be quiet when you are resting or leave! That is so rude.... all you do for her...she should be ashamed. Good grief you are looking into property for them to live in. I think they need to go rent a place until they can one day get a house. Sorry...that is just my opinion. She has to grow up ....now is her chance!! You can't bale then out all the time! I understand you want a house for tax purposes. They will destroy any place they live. Butch will be there repairing things all the time. Chris can't even help clean around your house. I would seriously think this over. Sorry to be a nag. TOUGH LOVE...I took the class!! You know how much I care about YOU. You and Butch have given and done enough. Your daughters are in or around their 30s. A line has to be drawn at some point. Time for the both of you!! Please don't be angry with me. I am just very concerned about both of you.
Praying Monday's appointment goes well and just a quick fix will be in order!
Butch loves you....let him enjoy himself taking care of you, I am sure he is a great nurse and you a wonderful patient.
I do have friends here already. Everyone is so nice to me. I love it here!!!

Wow Connie it sounds really cold, its in the 60's here which is great.
Well we took Krissy's boyfriend to the airport late last night he lives in Chicago they've been dating for nine months, he use to live here, he plans on moving back here to be with her in the next couple of years but there very young so will see how this plays out. He is a great kid I have to say my daughter has good taste in boys!! Need to go take a shower, planning on taking all the Christmas decorations down today.

Hi Connie and my OFF family:
Connie, glad you got your pictures hung. I still have stuff I need to get hung. My ex-boss did some of them last week; I need to find the other ones in the spare bedroom and have him help me before he moves back to Florida. He's so tall so he came do this stuff without getting on a ladder; I'd need a ladder. And that's not always a good idea. I'm so happy to have my big needlework pictures up in my bedroom.
Vickie, you really do need to get your daughter and her family out of your home. She needs to be taking care of her kids by herself. I realize you're willing to help, but right now you need to rest. You need to be selfish for once.
We're in the 40s right now and bright sunshine, but the storm is coming tomorrow: 6-8 inches of snow and followed by subzero temps. We have early deadlines for today (10:30 instead of 11:30) and Sunday (9:30 instead of 11:15), so I need to get in early. Plus, Saturday is busy anyway, so I'm going to get in at 1:30 so I can get some stuff done and ready. Didn't have much of a chance to do that last night.
My new slippers arrived today ... my old ones had a big hole right by the big toe. I get these nice slippers from this place in New Zealand ... they're sheepskin and lined in fuzzy sheepskin fleece. Very warm. They also have a nice sole that you can use to walk outside. Everything was OK on the old ones except the hole in the toe. Well, the inside were getting torn up. But the new ones are wonderful and I'm considering them my Christmas present to me. I only got one present (DVD from my brother) so this is an extra special present to me. Presents are nice, but the one I really wanted was to go home and I didn't get that. I'm planning in advance for next year.
Anyway, I should get in the shower and get ready for work. Have a good day.
