I have a doctor appointment at 2:30 today. Just a follow up with my main doctor. She switched some meds around and now she wants to see how I am doing on them. NO NEEDLES!!!!

Good Afternoon Connie and OFF Family,
I'm staying one more night in Pittsburgh, because they are calling for snow all along my route home to Michigan. My daughter called me, and they are heading home from Maine, in the snow.
Sean and I are planning on seeing a movie this afternoon. There are a few we're interested in. I'm also going to help him get his kitchen cleaned up.
I'm so glad I'm not back at my sister's right now. I really hated being there, with a passion.

Hello Trish...I am glad you have decided to stay another night in Pittsburgh. It sounds like the weather out there isn't very good for traveling. I hope your daughter made it back to Maine safely.

Not much happening. Waiting for stories to come in at work.
I did get out yesterday to go to Walmart ... it was a zoo. I thought maybe some people would stay home on New Year's Day but I was wrong. My ex-boss didn't come with ... he had done something to his foot on Monday and it was bothering him. So I went alone. Even my bank was open (I call it the bank of Walmart but it just happens to have its branch in Walmart). Did my shopping and came home, had my leftovers from Monday and a glass of wine and watched movies for the rest of the night. Finished my book (you might like it: "Mrs. Lincoln's Dressmaker" ... about the real-life former slave who made Mrs. Lincoln's dresses while she was in the White House ... by Jennifer Chiavarini). Started a new book but didn't get past the introduction before I started to nod off.
So today I'm back at work and it's 22 degrees but supposed to get below zero tonight. I stopped for gas on the way in and couldn't get the gas cap off. A nice young man (and cute!) helped me. I was about to go in and ask the station manager to cancel my card and I would have had to go to the dealership tomorrow. But he got it to come off. I had enough gas, but I like to have at least a half tank in the winter.
Anyway, not much else happening. Just trying to stay warm. have a good day everyone.
Hello Eileen....sorry your ex boss hurt his foot and couldn't run to the store with you. Oh well...maybe next time. We don't have banks in our Walmart, just Subway Sandwiches.
I miss having a glass of wine in the evenings. Now that I am on new pain meds I have not been having any. Every now and then a glass was nice. Oh well, I would rather be pain free!
I wrote down the name of that book. It does sounds interesting. I like to read those kinds of stories. Thank you!

Just reflecting, but my world has shrunk to 3 locations: my bedroom, the recliner in the living room, and the dining room table. That's it. Those are the only places I have been all week. So am I crazy to be looking forward to going to the wound care center tomorrow? I just need to get out of this house!
