Keep Vickie in your thoughts and prayers. She was admitted to the hospital again.

I am taking my nephew to a Gingerbread decorating class at Whole Foods today. That should be a lot of fun.

Liz and I are taking Vinnie to the Library for a childrens concert this morning.  there is a Childrens singimg and guitarist here in the Chicago area. Little Miss Ann. She is wonderful!

Good morning sistas. It was another very long night in another hospital for me. I am awake now at dawn and feeling somewhat better. Apparently I developed an infection over the past few days culminating in copious amounts of a reddish brown fluid pouring out through my incision all day long yesterday. Some fun, huh? I swear I am never going to shake this thing. But I'm feeling much stronger this morning so the antibiotics must be working. Butch also had his surgery yesterday and apparently it went well. I barely got to see him at all. But I think SIL Lisa just about had to sit on him to keep him home when he found out they were admitting me. But he has to stay home, stay off his foot, and keep it elevated. I will be just fine here today. And can hopefully go home tomorrow. One funny thing : I don't know if it's because Dr Reddy is am ob but they have put me in labor and delivery. Actually score one for me because these are some of the nicest rooms in the whole hospital. Will try to post more Later. Getting tired now.

Oh Vickie...I have been praying for you!! I was so worried about you. I am glad you are feeling a little better today. I hope the antibiotics get the infection cleared up quickly. I am glad you will be there for at least today. Please stay as long as you need to, your health is so important. I was really concerned about your shortness of breath and all. I guess that can be contributed to an infection. I want to see you well again!!

Thank Charlene and Lisa for me....they are such angels for helping like they are. I am sure Butch wanted to be there with you. I am glad he stayed home and off that foot!!

Carla....I was so glad when I read last night that they admitted Vickie. Then I knew they would get to the bottom of things and get her fixed up!! I will continue to keep her in my prayers!

Have fun at the children's concert. That will be so much fun!!

I need to hurry...I haven't packed and I need to leave to meet up with Nic soon!

Hello Everyone, especially Vickie....feeling bad because I was one of those urging her to get a hysterectomy, never expecting all this to happen, my surgeries tend to be textbook recoveries, but then I've never had robotic surgery and there seems to be a learning curve as it is relatively new.

Hope everyone else doing well,  I am too. Tired of winter already, we have tons of snow  and it isn't even Christmas yet...other years at this time we agonize about having a green winter, and then a dusting might arrive a couple of days before to make things magical.  Stop the Magic please, give us a break...we have another 5 dull days of snow forecasted, especially the weekend. Glad I'm home cocooning.

Hi Carla and my OFF family:

So glad Vickie is getting better in the hospital and that her SILs are taking care of Butch. 

Not much happening here. Didn't do much yesterday but laundry. I watched "Lawrence of Arabia" to remember Peter O'Toole and what a fabulous actor he was. Forgot what a long movie it was ... even on DVD it was two discs. 

I need to run out today to return some stuff to the grocery store (did an online order and they delivered some stuff that I didn't want). Plus I have to take out the garbage. My life is so exciting.
