Happy Tuesday!!
Good morning and Happy Tuesday everyone....
I called my granddaughter, Kyleigh, this morning. I am so overwhelmed with all I have to do. There is so much cleaning and polishing furniture, and everything in my kitchen needs to be washed. You can only imagine how it is after being packed for three years. Kyleigh will be here this evening. She will stay and help me until Thursday evening. Hopefully things will look a bit better by then!! So far three of my best glasses have been broken and my toaster oven has been crushed. Guess I will be buying a new one. I use it so much, as for just me, it works well and I don't have to heat up the oven.
My sister called yesterday morning. She had a horrible nose bleed and couldn't get it to stop. This runs in our family. I ended up having surgery after my nose bleed wouldn't stop after the 4th day. They tried everything and nothing worked. I have to take her to the doctor at 3:30 so they can take the balloon out of her nose. If it bleeds again she will need surgery. She was supposed to leave tomorrow on a trip to visit her son in Nevada. She can't fly like this!! Isn't it amazing how much she needs me know!!
I don't have much else to say. I have to keep plowing through things here!! I can relate with Trish and all the unpacking she had to do. UGH!!!
Love and many hugs to you all...connie d
My daughter has really bad nosebleeds related to her van willibrans disease. She has a vasoconstrictor that they used to have to give IV but now it comes in a nose spray and it stops it instantly. Have you been tested for that disease. It is the hemophilia that girls gets is characterized by frequent and uncontrolled nose bleeds that get worse through the years. I would take one box at a time and huge breaks in between. Moving sucks but I am glad your home now.
Hi Jeannie!!
I know what spray you are talking about. They did use it on her and it didn't work. They still have that balloon in her nose. They will take it out on Thursday. Then they will decide what to do.
I am so sorry your daughter has nosebleeds like that. What is Van Willibrans Desease?
I am trying to do one box at a time. It will take a while. I have always done my homes all in one day. My body has really changed in the last few years. I feel all of my years these day!! My hands are so painfully everyday. Hard to get things done very quickly.
Have a nice evening....love and hugs....connie d
Afternoon OFF family...
Connie we have been here now for 2 years and we are still NOT unpacked!!!! When we have time to do it we are so pooped out that we don't do it...when we feel like doing it there is NO time for us...SO IF we need anything that is still packed away we usually just buy new IF its not expensive...otherwise we go through the box til we find it...lol I would throw out the boxes BUT my horse plates are packed in them yet and not sure WHICH one they are in!!!! GRRRRRRRRRRRR
Vic so HAPPY HAPPY HAPPY that you will be going home soon and really get better!!!! Hospitals are a good place to be but its even nicer when you can go home and REST!!!!!!!!!!!!
Weather here is COLD and calling for more snow...only got a dusting last night...yippee!!!!!! Jason is on vacation this week but will come in IF we get snow or ice to clean up. W get to go away for Christmas week IF we can afford to be gone that long!!!
Need to go shopping for odds and ends for the Christmas Party next week. Found the ham I want on sale at Meijers 20 cents cheaper than our local store has it. Plus the Dollar Tree is close to Meijers so lots of stops for BARGAIN shopping!!!!! :-)
Thoughts and Prayers for ALL that need them!!!
HUGSSSSSSSSSSS
Hi Judy...lol....you are still in boxes after 2 years!! I don't feel so bad now!!
I am so happy for Vickie too!! I hope Jennifer is doing okay...haven't heard from her in a few days....I am a bit worried!!
Hope the weather warms up at least a bit. I am dying in this minus degree weather. Hope Jason can enjoy his vacation and doesn't have to move snow!!
Hope you get to go home for a long Christmas vacation! Praying for you, honey!!
Love you.....hugs.....connie d
Hi Connie and my OFF family:
I'm still not totally unpacked from when I moved from Louisiana. It's a mess in the spare bedroom. Fortunately, no one comes to visit me.
I'm off for two days. Originally, I was supposed to have my days off split but the schedule changed and now I have my days off together. I'm happy about that, of course. I really need the weekend. With the layoffs and early deadlines all week, I'm pooped. I may not leave the apartment at all. I will get out of my jammies today because I need to wash them. But that's the only reason.
I think I'm still in shock over the layoffs. It alway****s me hard, even when it's not me. I just remember back to when it was me. And I still fear it will be me again. I worked like a dog last week, doing everything I could to be as indispensable as I could.
Connie, I'm glad your granddaughter will help you out. Vickie, glad you are doing better. Judy, take care of yourself.
Well, I need to get laundry going. Take care.
Hello Eileen.....so you aren't unpacked either....neither is Judy....good to know I am not the only one!! At least I am in good company!!
I hope you really do stay in PJs and relax on these days off. You need it as you have been under so much stress lately. I feel bad for all those people that were laid off, especially your boss. That is such a sad situation for him.
I hope you managed to get your laundry done!!
Love you...hugs....connie d
Quick check in.
Connie, I moved here in February, and I still have boxes.
Vickie, I'm glad you are home.
Crazy busy day.
Don't know if you remember Maria, the woman in AA that I was trying to help. She had some serious mental health issues. Last time I heard from her, she told me in addition to Stage 4 Hepatitis C, she had Cirrhosis of the liver. A friend in PA told me she died on Saturday. My heart goes out to her three daughters. Her oldest is 19 or 20, the other two are in high school. Maria spent 16 years of their lives coming and going, sometimes being gone for months at a time, living in crack houses, prostituting herself for drugs. When I was trying to help her, she could not understand why they couldn't just forgive and welcome her back into their lives.
Must scoot.
