Hump Day Wednesday!
Good morning sistas!
Lots of excitement around the ol' OFF corral this week! I love the way we can all come here and share our lives. I feel very honored to be part of this special circle of friends. So glad our Jennifer is out of surgery and doing well at her recovery. Annette, we haven't forgotten you either. We know you are not able to post much these days, but you are much loved and prayed for here. Connie, we are all so happy for you with your new apartment and such a nice surprise from your Secret Santa! Judy, I sure hope you are feeling better after doing all those trees! You really need to slow down. The tenants don't need to be babied so much. And speaking of babies, Carla, I know you are enjoying sweet little Vinnie. Don't spoil her too much!
I am all done with doctor appointments for the remainder of this wee****il Friday. Whew! Butch still has one more appointment this afternoon, but I don't have to go. Instead I get to clean house and do bookkeeping and cook for the next two days. Whoop! Fun times! LOL! No, really, it's okay. I'm glad to have the time to prep the household and checkbook before my surgery. It will make life easier afterwards.
So, my surgery for the hysterectomy is scheduled for 8 a.m. on Friday. Butch and I will have to be there at 6 a.m., which isn't too bad. It's about a 40 minute drive to the surgery center in San Antonio. I am scheduled to stay one night, but after talking to several women who have had this same robotic surgery, I think it is possible that I might stay 2 nights. It will just depend on how fast I get on my feet. So, my sweet sister-in-law and niece are coming for the weekend to help out. Chris has Friday and Sunday off, but has to work on Saturday. So Lisa and Rachel will be here to help with the boys. That will take the pressure off of Butch, who would have his hands full with both boys and me to take care of, assuming we get to come home on Saturday.
Butch went with me to the GYN yesterday for my last Q&A before the surgery. I got a little tickled at Dr. Reddy. She was explaining all the post-surgical stuff to us and at one point she looked straight at Butch and said, very sternly, "NOTHING in the vagina for 12 weeks." We both cracked up! Between the after effects of Butch's prostate surgery and the total lack of privacy in our house these days, there's not much chance of THAT happening! LOL!
Well, things are heating up around here. The last 20 minutes before Benny's departure for school are always intense. Ha! I'd better go help out.
Love you all!
Good morning Vickie and everyone......
Vickie... I can't believe how fast your surgery has come up. You know you will be in my thoughts and prayers everyday!! I wish nothing but the very best for you!! I am so glad you will have Lisa and Rachel there to help out. That will make your recovery so much easier. I know Butch will be relieved they are there too. Love the remark to Butch at your doctor's appointment. I laughed and spi****er all over my computer monitor. That was okay I needed it washed any way...LOL!! Try to rest up a bit tomorrow as that surgery will take a lot out of you.
As for me....still up in the clouds over the kindness of Santa/friend....I love my Nook!! I get teary every time I look at it. What a kind, generous, and caring friend!! Still doing my detective work...LOL...no one is admitting to it. I am breaking the list down...one day I will find out who that person is and then I can thank them properly!!
I have several phone calls to make. Still lining people up for the big move Saturday. It is going to be sooooo cold!! I have a u-haul truck and 2 pick-ups lined up. We should be able to make it in one trip. Lots of address changes and follow up calls as well. I better get moving!!
Wishing you all a wonderful day!!! You are all just the greatest!!
Prayers for so many OFF friends with cancer and other serious illnesses. Also, those going through or recovering from surgeries and other issues as well.

Not much happening here except the talk of this storm coming...not sure what it will bring us but the guys are ready for it whether it is snow, sleet or ice!!!
Locked up last night and ran into a tenant...he said he heard I MIGHT be changing the party/dinner time to 5pm...HUH??????? I told him NO WAY!!!!!!!!! I already had the notice about it in the newsletter and I was NOT wasting more paper and toner just to change it for one person...HE is the person that wants to come at that time. SORRY.
Went to chiro dr today and man my neck and shoulders at TIGHT!!!!! He cracked my neck SOME and shot me with this instrument across the shoulders to help relax. Yeah ok...see you Friday IF the storm is not as bad as they are saying it will be!!!
