Morning OFF family....guess I will again start the thread...lol

Where IS everyone lately??????  Come and post people!!! We do NOT bite...lol

Well today I am fixing baby back ribs for our supper...while those are cooking I will be over in the big club house putting up another tree...guess who will be sore again...ME!!!! Will I have help doing this?? Only from Rick getting it out for me I guess. First one that mentions ONLY clear lights on the tree they will be told you don't like it...YOU decorate it for next year!!!!!!!! OR there won't be ANY trees up next year because I am NOT doing it!!!!!!! How do you like me now??????? Just have had my fill on these snobs!!! I can't do anything to please them at all and they are THE ones that ALWAYS complain about EVERYTHING we do here!!!

Well enough about that...just getting myself worked up over it.

Went to Bingo last night...won a game but had to split it with 3 others...so only got $13.50. Oh well better than nothing!!!

Well this isn't getting the tree up...best get going here!!!

Thoughts and Prayers for ALL that need them!!!

Judy:

Have you tried a "tree decorating party" to which residents are invited, and they bring their own fave beverage and nibbles. My condo dioes that every year, we have 2 trees one in the lobby and one in the party room.  Tree is put up bare in each location, with boxes of decorations nearby and is decorated by volunteer tenants who show up, some bring a thermos of coffe for themselves, others a glass of wine, bags of chips, nuts and cookies are also brought by the tenants and its an old fashione tree decorating...you could supervise and rest your arm....

Ditto  for taking tree down, there's an "undecorating party", although less people show up for that so easier to supervise reboxing of decorations....too late this year as you are doing it all yourself, but maybe next year?

Hi everyone...today is day before cancer surgery...hospital will call late afternoon to tell me what time to show up tomorrow morning Light snow forecast today and tomorrow....

Prior to surgery, and taking several hours in morning will have  "wire placement" at either end of my tumour ( look it up, painful)  which will be checked by mammography and then  will go for radioactive blue dye injection into tumour,  also painful, ( when anesthetized will be checked in OR to see if spread to lymphnodes with a geiger counter,) at the very least a sentinel node will be removed  for biopsy,  and more nodes if needed.

Surgery will be after all that, so maybe not until early afternoon,. It's day surgery, so will transfer to a convalescent room at a private senior's residence at end of day as hospitals kick you out too soon these days.

Will post here when I am up to it....Please pray  and send good vibes my way for successful removal of this cancer ....I still have a long way to go on this road and I am a ninny  for pain which I do not do with dignity, so hope I don't embarrass myself tomorrow...

Thank you all, Jennifer

Hi Jennifer, Judy and my OFF family:

Jen, quick note to say I'm thinking of you, swinging chickens for you and sending healing vibes your way up north.

Judy, sorry your arm is hurting you and you get no help putting up the tree. I haven't started decorating, but I do it in stages anyway ... no big tree for me, because the cat would have a field day.

Anyway, I'm at work, just wanted to say hi. Nothing to do right now. Have a good day.

Jennifer you have my thoughts and prayers for this surgery tomorrow!!! You keep thinking positive thoughts and you will do fine!!!

As for your suggestion on a decorating party...LOL NOT gonna happen here!!!! I mentioned we could have a tree decorating and it went out the window faster than out of my mouth!!!! Also we are not allowed alcohol in the club houses. DARN!!!!!! LOL I also mentioned IF anyone would LIKE to HELP me....that also fell on deaf ears!!!! Getting the tree into the stand on the table was a mistake today...I only had the bottom of the tree in the stand and went to take it off the table and OMG the pull on my arm was bad!!!!!!!!! Rick stayed to help me get the rest of the tree together...had a heck of a time getting the lights on the top but I managed...then to get the skirt around the bottom on the floor...LOL I couldn't get under it well enough to use my arm to fix it pretty...ask me if I care...NOPE its down and I don't care that it is wrinkled!!!!!!!! Had a couple tenants stop and look in window see what I was doing...they left fast!!!!! One actually stopped in when I was just about done...he said it looked very nice...I told him one SNOB makes one comment she will decorate the tree next year or there will be NO tree at all!!!!!! He said good for you!!! Anyhow I am so darn sore right now...arm and back not to mention my feet!!! Wanted to pass out the newsletter for December today while it was nice but the tree did me in. So Jason will have to do that tomorrow. Still have one tree to get up yet...sighs.........

You take care and keep the faith!!!! I will say extra prayers tonight and tomorrow.

Making dinners and decorating the trees for the tenants seems to make you miserable, so why do you do it?   Instead of subjecting your shoulder to more stress and strain and your emotions to such turmoil, just don't do it.  You really seem to be miserable there and I wonder if the amount of money that you are making is worth the stress that you are being put through by the tenants.   Sometimes, after the stress affects you and ruins your health, it can bleed over into your marriage and start affecting your relationship.  You might want to consider finding another job and saying to hell with that place and the "snobs" that seem hell bent on making you miserable.  Life is too short to live it in such a state of misery.

Judy, I have to agree with Jeannie on this one. I know you try to give 110%to your job, but you have to take care of yourself first. The tenants will be just fine without the Christmas trees and hams this year (or the next) . Please consider cutting back. For YOUR sake, not theirs.

Jeannie I LOVE my job here and would NEVER give it up!!! These few "SNOBS" as I call them are OLD and will not be here much longer....that is what I keep telling myself. They are old and have nothing better to do than start ****!!!! As for me having parties/dinners...I love doing that its just when its time to clean up I get no help...who likes to clean up after everyone?? As for putting up the trees...they SNOBS again go look see how both trees look and start their **** once again!! If I get like they are when I am their age...please shoot me!!!!!!!!!

Its just been one hell of a few months here because of my arm situation is all and nothing more. If my arm was fine I would not be in this funky ass mood.
