Thursday in Michigan

Good Morning Family,

I have been having difficulty posting most days, but have a few seconds to post today.

Today, I am scooting over to Colleen's to watch Frankie for an hour while she tutors.  Then, I'm going to walk Utley, since he's gotten used to roaming the neighborhood the past few days.  I also have to bag my soda cans to get the deposit.  We have a 10 cent bottle and can deposit on soda, and alcohol cans and bottles.  I have a huge trash can full of Diet Coke cans, so I have to cash them in.  I'm starting to wean off the soda, finally.  It took me over two months to accumulate those cans.  Before, it took me a month.  I'm working on it.

I'll also be organizing the Christmas presents I've gotten so far, so I can wrap, or box them.

Must scoot.

Hugs,

Trish

That is definitely great news.  I'm putting your surgery on my calendar, to pray during the day then.  In the meantime,  I'm praying for you during my devotions.  Try to relax, and hang in there.  I know you've been under a lot of stress.

Hugs,

Trish

Trish-

I think it's wonderful that you are able to provide childcare for your grandchildren.  Congrats on weaning off of soda.  I did that many years ago but winter in Texas where the state drink is Dr. Pepper can be difficult.  Fortunately most places have iced tea or water so I'm fine.  Once a year I give myself a treat and get a Pepsi or Coke fully loaded.

I can't even begin to think about Christmas presents.  I think I will just send something small to my Mom and forget about everyone else.  Finances are tight at the moment so I'm going to be Scrugge this year.

Jennifer-  I'm happy the wait is over and you have your date for surgery.  I was serious yesterday about a letter campaign to your neighbor especially if you have to undergo chemo or radiation post surgery.  You don't need to put up with that during recovery and treatments.  Clearly the guy has OCD.  If he would like to donate some money to my finances just let me know and I'll give him bank routing information.

Well ladies, last night I made it to water fitness for two nights in a row.  A little tender today but not too bad.  I miss the old instructor because he really challenged me.  This new instructor is a bit quiet and not as motivating.  She had a botched RNY three years ago and is very vocal about that experience.

Tonight I have a Book Team meeting.  This will be the first meeting we've had face to face since my meltdown last April.  We have oodles of pictures for the book but limited copy.  I have a certain amount of anxiety about the meeting tonight.  The photographty is exquisite and I want the writing to be the same.  Unfortunately, I am feeling the pressure of a deadline and I'm frustrated.  Then the evil devil sitting on my shoulder says eat something sweet you'll feel better.

Oh well, enough dwelling on this.  Gotta get back to work for the government.

Hugs and positive vibes to all of you in need.

Cindi: neighbor from hell above is arrogant and thoughtless.  He doesnt even warn me when he is going to make construction noise. He hasnt ever apologized for all the leaks I've endured over the years, and hasnt even sent me a bunch of cheap flowers ...He is a cardiologist, owns a restaurant, and hasnt even dropped off a gift certificate to eat at his property....He has done nothing to make amends, not the slightest goodwill gesture costing him just a few dollars...

A few years ago I tried to get a petition going in the building to limit construction noise and went door to door in the building over a week to canvass everyone ( 110 units) .only 25% of residents/owners signed, the rest couldnt care less and outright refused to sign the petition.

Good Afternoon Trish and Everyone.....

I am in a lot of pain today. The procedure went well.

My daughter insisted I come to her house so she can take care of me.  She wanted me to stay until after Thanksgiving. I can't. as I have appointments next week. I will stay until Sunday evening. They will then take me back home. My son in law insisted he was coming to get me  early this morning. I can't drive yet. So here I am! Peaceful and quite and no cat to take care of. I love animals but I just cant be around cats. I have respiratory and sinus issues all the time.

Jennifer....so glad the MRI worked out and you will have your surgery soon. Prayers and Blessings coming your way!!

Cindi...I too had to cut back on Christmas this year, I am only  giving something to my grandchildren.

Ttrish....I can't handle soda. Maybe just a little  once in a while. I used to love my Coke Classic. I haven't had any in almost 7 years!! I do know it isn't easy getting away from it. I wish you the best!!

Judy...sorry about your bad day, especially since it is your Birthday!! Love, hugs, prayers!!!

Wishing you all a great day!! Prayers for many in need.

Love and lots of hugs to all.......connie d

Good evening sistas!

I am late to the party tonight.  Waiting on my potatoes to finish baking before I can serve supper.  Chris is finally home, thank God.  Some days I just don't know if I'm going to have the stamina to finish out the day or not.  Chris is working 5 days in a row this week, and today is only Day 3.  Lord help me to finish out the week!

I did too much work on the computer with the mouse between yesterday and today, and now my shoulder is acting up.  I had to send all those pictures of Butch to his boss on the rig.  Each picture had to be sized, edited, etc., which was lots of movements with the mouse.  So, there went my mouse shoulder.  Grrrr.  Lord, please give me back by 22 year old body again, with my 50 year old head, and I swear, I could rule the world!  LOL!

Read all the posts.  Jennifer, dearest, you ARE in my prayers daily.  You are much loved and much valued here.  Never doubt it.  I pray for all our cancer warriors, as well as everyone else who is just have daily life struggles.  This is a wonderful place of support.  I've never belonged to a group like this before, and I love you all.  I hope you know that.

I'd better go stick a fork in my potatoes and see if they are done.  We're having easy supper.  A rotissiere (SP?) chicken from the store, baked potatoes, and microwaved fresh green beans.  Mimi just wasn't up to cooking tonight.

Love you all!
