First I hope that everyone is alright and safe from that nasty weather...you were all on my mind and in my prayers when I heard of those awful

tornadoes! How devastating! I just cannot imagine being in the midst of such a storm.

Our temps have certainly dropped in the last few days as we got the tail end

of the storms here with severe high winds....even a few white specks. Our ferals

are now hiding out of the wind in the dogbarn and in the cat-house shelters we

madeon our verandah, no more sleeping on pillows outside.

On Thursday, I was honoured at a special luncheon for my 40 years of community

volunteer work. There were sixty of us, all over sixty years old. The purpose was

to recognize that seniors (am I a senior!???) do contribute alot to our community. I

got a lovely etched glass trophy and roses and more. We had a delightful lunch and

then attended a “Champagne & Chocolate Reception” afterwards. The event was

called “Sixty Over 60”.

On Saturday, I had attended several fund raisers where I was able to purchase a few

unique “stocking stuffers” and then drove into the city to support a book-signing with

proceeds going to a local feral cat & barn-cat “Capture, Spay & Release” programme

that JB and I support. Today, I received word that I apparently won a door prize.

(JB hopes that it is NOT another cat....lol...but I wouldn't mind at all.)

Tuesday afternoon, (today), I have a dental appointment for a new crown- what fun!

- so I plan to stop by the Cat Clinic first to pick up my prize...hopefully that will somehow soften the dental experience for me...I'm SUCH a dental weenie!

We have a family “SinterKlaus”(Dutch tradition) this Sunday for JB's mother's side of

the family, complete with all the typical Dutch treats. This year we are having it catered

so I have nothing to make at all...I can just go and enjoy. The Dutch celebrate Sinter Klaus Day on Dec 6th – the kids get their chocolate initials and some small treats & gifts. This is completely separate from Dec 25th, Christmas Day, which is a religious holiday. I like the separation of the gifting on Dec 6th and the more reverent celebration of Dec 25th. Far less commercialism and less stress as well.

I have to head for bed and hope that I get some sleep. Please know that I send loving energy to all for health and safety.

Congrats to you Nancy!!! HUGSSSSSSSSSSS

Connie hope you are doing lots better after your surgery today!!!! HUGSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS

Today my day was BORING!!!!!!!!!! Got into it with the tenant that had the bed bugs...called me again after I had already talked to her yesterday, this morning and again this afternoon...her aid called my boss and said that I was mean to her client!!!!! HUH???????? I was NOT mean to her at all...I just stated to her for the hundredth time that she could bring her clothes and things back into her apartment IF they had been through the HOT dryer and NOT until!!! Its all I said to her. My boss said not to worry about it...she called me back later to let me know that she talked to the tenant and she said for her to apologize to me for her. OK. But this aid really made my boss mad that she did this...the tenant needs 24/7 care and is only getting an aid 3 days a week!!! After she is inspected Friday, my boss is going to call the adult protective on her to have her evaluated. This woman has NO business living alone at all!!!!

Finally got my hair cut today...yes!!!!!! Got another pixie style. Love it!!!!!!!! Now Bandit needs his bath and haircut...need more money first!!! Took the truck in for the oil change yesterday and Thursday I get the car done. Seems everything happens at once around here!!!!

Waiting for the AVON lady. She should be here any minute now. What she has for me is free...YES!!!!!!!!!!

Not sure what we will have for supper tonight. Nothing sounds good right now.

Thoughts and Prayers for ALL that need them!!!

HUGSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS
