Morning OFF family!

I've been absent for awhile. I've been back in Carmel with my girlfriend for the last 2 weeks to help out and will be staying till next Friday. Her husband is away a lot on business and she just can't get around buy herself yet and we all know it's no fun being by your self. She is still dealing with this drop foot but has hope that when she is able to start PT that some how she will get her foot to start working again...I pray she is right. I miss my family and home terribly.

I did get my MIL quilt finished and we gave it to her, she loved it. I did get out yesterday and went window shopping had a great time. Love this area, it's so beautiful. Steve and I are thinking of moving here after Krissy graduates this summer from high school. It's not Carmel it's a little town called Pacific Grove it where pebble beach is at. It's between Monterey and Carmel.

Hi Debbie,

When you talk about Monterey, Carmel and Pacific Grove, you bring back so many wonderful memories of the year I lived there.  I loved it there, but we were too poor to enjoy it, given that we only had my husband's Army salary, and he was only a private, fresh out of Basic Training.  We lived right next to the Presidio, across the street from a park.  Our bedroom windows look out over Monterey Bay.  We could hear the sea lions barking all the time.  Right before we moved from there, my mother-in-law gave us some money to buy a local piece of art.  I remember going to Carmel to an art gallery, and I found a water color painting of the Carmel Mission, which we took all of our family who visited to.  After my divorce, I gave it to Colleen, because that's where she was born. 

Well, I woke up with a killer sinus headache.  First one in a long time.  Had to suck down a cup of coffee first thing.  Then, I scooted over to Colleen's to play with Franklin while she went to do a reading group in Izzy's class.  She volunteers every Thursday.  While I was there, I called my ENT's office to see if I could get an antibiotic for my sinus infection.  While I was there, I did the dishes.  She falls behind in the housework when this part of the week because of the two college classes she teaches.  She at the college Wednesdays and Thursdays, so she's grading tests, and doing power point presentations, and reading the chapters of the texts.  Plus, the first part of the week, Trent is away, remodeling his brother's house.  He comes home Wednesday, to watch the kids in the evening while Colleen is teachig.

The rest of the day will be spent tidying as much as I can, given how lousy I feel.  I do have to find a catalog Colleen lent me, as next week she's having an Origami Owl party.

Hi sistas!

Typing fast while the baby naps.  I have things I need to get done during this precious hour, but just had to pop on and say hello to my favorite sistas!

Debbie, you are being a really good friend.  Not everyone would do what you are doing.  I'm proud of you.

Trish, I am sorry about the bad headache.  I hate to wake up on those days, much less drag myself out of the bed and the house.  Good for you!  I hope the ENT can help you with your sinuses.

I had a pretty productive day yesterday.  I did get my floor mopped!  Woot!  You have no idea how much that was bothering me.  Feels better to at least have a clean floor.  Too bad about the rest of my house!  LOL!

Chris is working 11 to 6 again today, so I took Benny to school early this morning, then made a mad dash through the grocery store and stopped for gas, all before 10 a.m.  Butter Bean and I will have to go back this afternoon to pick Benny up, but as cranky as he's been this week, I'm inclined to leave him until the very last minute!  Well, no, not really, but I'm in no hurry to go and get the little grouch either.  Such whining and crying and fussing and flat our naughtiness you've never seen.  He is not having a good week.  We think it is because Papaw is gone and he doesn't understand it.

I am trying hard to revise my absolutely horrible, back-slidden eating habits today.  I've been stress eating and eating lots of sugar and carbs.  I'm not going to do this to myself.  So far today I've had a banana, an apple, and some broccoli and cauliflower.  I'm going to increase my intake of fruits and veggies again if it kills me, and leave off the muffins, cookies, chips, and bread!  Honestly, just writing that makes me cringe.  What have I been thinking?  And what the hell have I been doing to myself?  The battle never ends, does it?

Evening OFF family...had another day from hell here...lol Learning the business end on a PC is fun but I am so afraid of doing wrong...the girl teaching me said I was doing waaaay better than most of them at this stage...yeah right!!! Tell me another story you want me to believe!!! But after 3 hours of trying hard and forcing the tears away I am thinking I am doing better!!! I hope!!!

Got another tenant to move in tomorrow and one crazy witch moving out!!! Got another supposed to stop in to meet me and get paperwork started for him to get an apartment here. His daughter said he has COPD really bad. Tonight she called me said they were going to call the squad for him and he would probably be admitted????? Then she calls me back says IF she can get him down the stairs she would bring him over tonight. UMMMMMMMM NOOOOOOOOOOOO I am DONE working for the day had enough for one day and besides I thought he was so bad you were calling the squad for him? She said no not yet...I said well don't bring him here because I do NOT want him dying on my door step!!!!!!!!! She lol and said he isn't that bad yet...well call the dam squad and get him better for crying out loud!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WTH is the matter with people???????

Then another tenant hunts me down so she can tell me she stepped in dog poop this morning!!! No she has no clue who it came from...ok so what can I do about it????? Clean your shoe off and move on!!!!!! OMG!!!!!!!!!!

Then another tenant wants one of the tables in the club house because she needs a table. WHAT???????? NO!!!!!!!!! OMG!!!!!

Then we try to hook up the scanner and printer and find we are missing a UBC cord for one of them!!!!!!! So now we have to take petty cash and buy one tomorrow!!!!!!!! WTH??????

Then the crazy tenant that is moving out wants to come back later tonight to do her walk through IF she is done moving out. NOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!! I am done working at 4 and I am NOT going back to do that!!!!! I told her after my 1pm appointment tomorrow I can do it and NOT before!!!!!!!! She said OK.

So Vic...now you know WHY I am drinking that stuff I posted on FB!!! LOL

My reevaluation is Friday not yesterday...GRRRR so hope tomorrow there IS improvement!!!!!!!!! I noticed last night I can get my arm behind me more and it is not hurting as much either...wonder if its because my neck is killing me more???????

Well time to go heat up some more home made chicken noodle soup...sure turned out good this time!!!! YUMMMMM!!!!!!!!

Debbie....you sure are a wonderful friend. Your girlfriend is very lucky to have you!! I will continue to keep her in my prayers. Glad you finished your MILs quilt. I am sure she really did love it!! I love the Carmel and Pacific Grove area. It is so beautiful there. I hope it all works out and you can live there one day.

Trish....Sorry you have a sinus infection. I am suffering with the same thing only mine is in my chest as well. Hope you get some relief soon. I think it is wonderful that  you help Colleen with extra tasks that need to be done.  You are a good mother and grandmother!! I am sure Colleen really appreciates the help.

Vickie....I just get tired reading about your days!! Glad you got the floors done as I know how much that bothers you. I love clean floors!! So sorry Butter Bean is no feeling well. Could he be allergic to his formula or lactose intolerant? My grandson could only have soy milk products. He just got too much gas and tummy aches from the other. Just a thought.  one week about over now. You can do it!! Any word from Butch? The last I heard he wasn't quite there yet.

Judy...You are probably doing way better then you think on that new PC. I know you are smart and can handle anything. I have faith in you!! You go girl!!! Sorry you have such looney residents. I would not handle that as well as you do. Sorry your having some problems with your shoulder and arm. Prayers that it will be better soon. How is your mother doing??

As for me....I slept from about 9:00 PM until about 1:00AM. I was up until 2:30 AM. I went back to sleep again until 12:30 PM. I was so exhausted and sick. I feel a little better today. I had to go have fasting labs done at 1:30 PM. Good thing I took my shower last night!! I thought it was 2:30 PM.  Good thing I checked! I made it just in time. Had a lot of blood drawn for so many tests. I actually felt dizzy afterwards. Good thing I had Boost in my purse. I had to stay sitting there for a while. They were worried I would faint. Then I went and got birthday gifts for my sweet Gracie. I came home and wrapped them and sent them off with a delivery service. She will get her package tomorrow. Her birthday is Monday. I can't believe she will be 7 all ready!!
