Saturday in Michigan
Good Morning OFF Family,
I've been up since before 6:00 a.m. Haven't accomplished much though, just emptying and loading the dishwasher, and giving Utley a much needed bath. Seems he likes to roll in his own poo when he goes out back. Today's not the first time either. My backyard is too huge, and the grass is too deep to go scoop it after he's been out there.
I'd appreciate prayers for Mom. The stubborn ole coot refuses to see a doctor, or go to the ER. She's still sick with some upper respiratory thing, after three or four weeks. She didn't sound too bad when she was visiting here, but when I spoke with her on the phone yesterday, she sounded absolutely awful. Plus, she's been too sick to stay up and play Scrabble. For Mom to give up a Scrabble game is absolutely unheard of. Her health history is so bad her doctors say she's a walking miracle at age 87. She's had multiple heart attacks, bouts of pneumonia and bronchitis, a double aortic aneurysm removed, blood clots, the same clotting disorder my siblings and I have, a mini-stroke, and serious bipolar disorder. I told my sister that if she dies because she's too bull-headed to see a doctor, I'm gonna be pissed. Given her history, I expect her to pass because of one of her previous illnesses.
I've completed about half of my Christmas shopping already. Got Mom a full length flannel night gown. When she was here, she wore a polyester one, and complained of being cold at night. Colleen had the kids help her post a Wish List on the Toys R Us website. Lincoln wants a lot of Lego stuff, which he loves, so I got him the kit with 1000 pieces in it. Frankie had so much fun knocking down bowling pins at church on Monday, so I found a pretty decent bowling set online for him. Izzy loves to do crafts, so I ordered a latch hook kit to make a pillow or wall hanging with. The design is a Gerbera daisy, which will match her curtains and bed comforter. She's also learning to knit, so I'm sure she'll enjoy the kit. Plus, I ordered coordinating one piece pajamas on the Carter's website. The boys are getting blue and grey with a smiling monkey face on the chest. Izzy is getting pink and beige striped with a sleeping monkey face, with a pink bow, on the chest. I've ordered from the Carter's website before, and love it because they have a lot more items available than in the stores.
I have to get outside an finish raking the lawn, while the weather cooperates.
Hugs,
Trish

Good morning Trish.....
I posted on Carla's thread. I just want you to know I am keeping your mom in my prayers. I too wish she would do into the clinic before she gets pneumonia. That wouldn't be good at her age!!
It is nice that you got your Christmas shopping started. My 4 oldest grands just want money. I send $ to my daughter for my little Grace. She shops for me and then I don't have to mail gifts.
Have fun raking leaves....I always hated that job!! Don't get lost in the piles...LOL!!
Have a good day!!
Love and hugs....connie d
