Peaceful Sunday

Good morning sistas!

I hope everyone remembered to turn their clocks back and enjoyed the extra hour of sleep!

I have been rather MIA the past couple of days because of babysitting duties.  But today is my day off!  LOVE SUNDAYS!!!  Not sure what Butch and I might do today.  Probably construction.  We went to Home Depot yesterday and bought some lumber and thick plastic to build a little temporary greenhouse to winter over some of our plants. Butch has a pepper tree and a lime tree that are simply too big to move in the house, and I have several ferns that I've a mind to save if I can.  I get so attached to my plant babies!

It has turned cool here again.  Maybe we've had our last hot spell.  I made chili last night and we had frito pies for dinner.  I also made a lime pie for dessert using two of Butch's limes from his lime tree.  Just 2 limes yielded 1/2 cup of lime juice!  You've never seen such big pretty limes!  I only had a little sliver of pie, but it sure was good!

Hoping everyone has a peaceful and blessed Sunday!  Love you all!

Morning Vic and OFF family yet to come in...

Well this morning when I went to open up the clubhouses and laundry rooms I noticed a truck parked in our visitors parking area. Never saw it here before so I got the plate number and called police to see if it was stolen or not. Officer came out and looked but it came back to right plate not reported stolen...YET. So we are waiting to see IF a tenant had company with this truck or IF it gets reported stolen. :-/ Never saw this truck in here before so not sure who has company or not...seems we ARE a dumping area for stolen vehicles.

Went to Bingo last night...AGAIN I had chances left and right but won nothing!! One group won 5 games!!!! Yes I said 5 games!!!!!!!!!! Winning 5 out of 8 games is sure lucky!!!!!!

34* here this morning so it IS chilly!!!! BRRRRRRRRRRR Sun is out also. :-)

Not sure what we will do for supper today yet. Just not in mood for much at all. Something easy I guess. Store has their fried chicken on sale...its the best I ever had in this area. So see how I feel about getting dressed to shop...hahaha. Need to do some laundry also. Seems when I need to do it everyone else has to do it also!!!! I work all week and they are home ALL the time so why do they wait til I can do mine???

Well that is all for me today. And yes my clocks are all changed!

Thoughts and Prayers for ALL that need them!!

Good morning Vickie and everyone.....

Vickie....I am so glad you and Butch have a day together. It will be fun even if you are building something together. The fresh pepper tree sounds great...I am not a lime lover but I am sure they are good too.  I really am odd...no kidding right? I don't like lime, cooked apples and I can't handle them raw, nor do I like pumpkin or cilantro....am I American? Maybe I am the Alien!!!

Judy....hope the truck belongs to someone with company and not stolen. Sorry you lost at Bingo. I am the most unlucky person. I can buy a lottery ticket and never win, the same with Bingo. Everyone around me wins but not ME!! Go figure!! Hope you get your laundry done. You should open the laundry earlier and do yours then.....you are the manager. Keep the doors locked!! Enjoy your chicken for dinner if you go out to get it. It is only 39 degrees right now but a high of 51 is expected....then I will get out and walk.

As for me....nothing!! I am so worried about something happening and not getting that apartment. I just feel sick. I don't know what the problem could be but I am worried anyway. I guess because I so  need out of here. I try not to worry but I do anyway. Please keep the good thoughts, prayers, and swinging chickens coming...thanks!!

I watched the Hallmark movies all afternoon and evening last night. I love this time of year because Hallmark always has such great movies from now until Christmas!!

Wishing you all a beautiful day!! Prayers for many in need.

Love and many hugs to all....connie d

Connie, this place you want to move into...is it a government rental assistance place? A lot of paper work like pay out of pocket to medical and stuff like that? If so some places take THEIR time to get it filled out and back to apartment manager. HATE when they take so long!!!! Hang in there your moving day will be here soon enough!!! ;-)

Judy....I am moving into a apartment for senior citizens. It is all I could find that I could get into according to my small income. I will be glad to have a place of my own. I know I am old enough to live there. I just didn't know I would be there so soon. It kind of makes me sad. I look young for my age. I know the people will be very nice. I look forward to a quiet, clean and secure home. At this point I will be grateful for anything!!

The manager told me not to worry as it will take some time to get the info they need back from the bank, background check, and such. The lady that lives there now has lived there since the place was built in 1996. They are going in and putting all new carpeting, flooring, and painting. They are planning on updating it some. The apartment I saw was really nice. They are small but I will make do.

Thanks for encouraging me.

Love you much....connie d
