T.G.I.F.
Good Morning OFF Family,
What fun I had on Halloween. We went to Izzy's school parade, and then I had quite a few Trick-or-Treaters in the evening. Afterward, we played Scrabble with Trent, who beat the pants off Mom and me. All evening, Franklin was playing with us, laughing and being absolutely adorable.
I was up late, trying to work on a baby blanket I'm way behind on. I'm upset that I probably won't fini**** till the baby is born, and now much go shopping for a present. Argh.
Today is my birthday, so this afternoon, my daughter and sister are ordering take out Chinese food for us for my birthday lunch. Not sure what we'll do after that. Colleen has to go to the church to prepare for her sis-in-law's baby shower, which is tomorrow at lunchtime,

Good morning sistas!
I tried and tried to find a minute to post yesterday, but between being drugged out by my meds and babysitting and Butch being home, it just never happened. So y'all are first on my list today!
Hope everyone had a great Halloween. We took the boys to the Fall Carnival at the big Baptist church in New Braunfels. It's geared just right for little people. The games are easy and there's no really scary stuff. Butch and I got the boys dressed in their costumes, and Chris and Mike met us there when they got off work. Then we went out to eat afterwards. It was our first "family" outing together and I thought it went pretty well. Mike and Butch are still a little constrained with one another, but they'll warm up I'm sure. They're having a hard time finding any common ground outside of the baby just now, but like I told Butch, we just have to give it time.
I am feeling much better today. My back no longer hurts me and only twinges a bit now and then. I cut way back on the muscle relaxers yesterday and I'm going to try not taking any today. They make me so sleepy! I just conk out! I've never had a medicine do that to me before.
Today is the first, and my main chore of the day is to pay bills. Ugh. That and laundry. Double ugh. Butch is going to mow our grass this morning. It's going to be more like baling hay than mowing grass I'm afraid. Chris goes to work at 1 p.m., and then I'll be tied down with the baby for the rest of the evening. Thank goodness Butch will be here to take care of Benny Bop.
I'd better get started on my bill paying while things are quiet around here. Love you all!
Happy Birthday Trish!
Hi everyone, Halloween was so tame here! I had about six trick or treaters. My heart was in Chicago!!!! I wanted to be there! My daughter dressed Lavinia like a piece of candy corn!!!!
I. Going back to Chicago in about three weeks for Liz 32nd birthday and the birth of my great neice.
Nothing much else!

Good morning Trish and everyone......
HAPPY BIRTHDAY TRISH!!!!
I hope you have an awesome day!!!!
Tri**** does sound like you had a wonderful Halloween with your family!! I love all those sweet little ones running around in their costumes!! I hope you manage to get the baby blanket done. If not can you take a pic of it.Then wrap the pic along with a few little things. I have done that for larger items as well. Your birthday lunch sounds wonderful....ENJOY!!
Carla...sorry you didn't get many Trick or Treaters. So many people are cautious of where they go these days. Also, many places have Halloween parties for children so they don't have to go out. One of the churches here have people come to their parking lot and give out candy from their trunks. The kids just love it!! How is the sweet little granddaughter, Vinnie doing???
Vickie....I am sure things will get better with Butch and Mike. It will work out. You know how guys are. Butch is the top dog....I am sure it intimidates Mike. Butch needs to talk to them about doing there share of the chores around there. They seem to be a little lax in that area. I wish Butch was there to stay!!! Maybe this happening will help him see how much he is needed there. Have a wonderful day. I am so glad your pain has gotten better.
As for me....I am going out for a walk soon. The temps are in the 50s which is way better then what they have been. We had snow for a couple days...UGH. It didn't last but YUCK!! Winters are so long here....we don't need it early!
I had to figure out what new RX plan I am going with this morning. Lots of calls and comparisons...I hate doing that. We don't need to decide until December. All done now!! I like to do things early and know they are in place. One less thing to think about!! I feel better today...the flu seems to have left me....now my sinuses are plugging up again. Just the time of year causing people to be miserable!!
Wishing you all a beautiful day!! Prayers for many in need.
Love and hugs to all....connie d
Happy birthday, Trish!
We are being invaded by trick or treaters at work right now. The weather was bad yesterday (although not as bad as they thought it would be) so the kiddos are here today. Little noisy for a couple of hours but not too bad. Cute costumes and the kids are having fun.
I was up early having a dexa scan so I'm tired. It'll be a long night of Friday night high school football. Not really ready for it. Need more coffee.
Hope everyone has a good night.
