Good afternoon Carla and everyone....

Carla....hope you find the perfect dishwasher!! I used to love to window shop. I am too fatigued and in pain to do much anymore. I am a fighter....I will get better!!

As for me.....I went to fill out the needed paperwork for the apartment. I grabbed a few extra things to take in case she needed them. Glad I did because she did need  them. I try to get one step ahead when I can. She was amazed at my organization. She said everything was in order. Now we just have to wait to hear from the places she will be sending the paperwork to. She said I could move in by the end of November as long as everything comes back with no issues. Please keep the prayers and swinging chickens coming.....I need to get that place!!

Jennifer....I hope you are doing well. I have been keeping you in my prayers.

Vickie....Hope each day gets a little better with Benny and Reese. You are in my thoughts and prayers every day too!! Keep looking forward to Butch coming home soon!!! I keep praying that all goes well too.

Eileen....I hope your pain is better each day. I know you have been suffering so much.

Judy....quit overdoing that shoulder....I know ....because you are like me....you push yourself to do way more then you should!! Hope the pain is better today.

Trish....where the heck are you?? You are the one that usually starts the thread. I hope everything is going okay with you and your family!!

Cindi....praying your travels go well. You are brave doing all that on your own. You amaze me!!

I know I haven't mentioned everyone....darn CRS.....know I am thinking of you all.

Wishing you all a beautiful rest of the day. Prayers for many in need. Special prayers for our sweet sister Annette. Also all those with with serious health and financial issues.

Love and lots of hugs to all......connie d

Hello sistas!

Y'all remember how I asked you to hold my hand this week?  Well, now is the time.  I feel like I've fallen into a new level of hell (my pardon, Mr. Dante, but you missed one!).  OMG.  For the past 48 hours I have had the worst TOM of my life.  Yesterday I didn't think it could get worse, but today it did.  Today I am getting maybe 15-20 minutes worth of protection from an ULTRA tampon and then that's it.  I have to head back to the bathroom again!  I have not had any sleep for the past two nights and I am sick and tired of this mess!  I am dreading tonight.  I am so tired, but there is no let up in sight yet.  And tomorrow I have to keep the boys from 11 a.m. til closing (about 10 p.m.).  I am so exhausted, I just don't know how I'm going to make it.

At least Christie is home tonight and I can just retreat to my room for the rest of the evening.  Had a fairly decent day with the baby, although as anyone who has ever kept a newborn knows, you don't get a lot of rest no matter HOW well the day goes.  At least he is taking the bottle now.  Still not on a regular feeding schedule, but six weeks is a little early for that.  Still have to feed on demand at this point.

Well, I'm hot and sweaty from yet another hot flash--now really, is this fair? TOM and Hot Flashes simultaneously???--and I'm going to hop in the shower and try to clean up a bit.  Don't know where everyone went today, but hope to see you all back again tomorrow.

Love you all!

Vickie,

You poor thing.  I went through that kind of menstrual period for about two years, when I was around 40.  My doctor did an endomitrial iblation.  That's where he burned out the lining of my uterus.  Some patients never bleed again.  My period was about two days of spotting after he did that.  Before surgery, it was no longer monthly.  It was a couple of times a month.  When it came, I needed two super tampons and a maxi pad.  I still stained my panties and sheets and mattress.  It got so I was only buying white cotton panties, so I could wash with bleach.

Hang in there, sweetie.  Aren't you getting a hysterectomy soon?

Hugs and tons of love,

Trish

You poor thing. You might need some hormone therapy. I had such heavy periods premenopausal that I was going through 3-4 pads end to end at a time in an hour. My doc finally put me on HRT. That was the only thing that worked for me. The next step would have been an ablation, then a hysterectomy. I didn't get that far. Try the hormone therapy until you can get the hysterectomy.

Hi Carla and OFF family,

I had been in the middle of starting the thread this morning when my daughter called to ask a favor.  She was trying to pack for the five of them, plus wash two sinkfuls of dishes, when she learned her husband had used her scrungie/sponge to clean his paintbrushes.  I scooted to the store, took the sponges to her, and saw she needed some help with the kids and the dishes.  She washed, I dried.  Her dishwasher is broken, and her poor husband has been working out of town most days, and when he is home, he's working too.  He's a contractor, managing three rental properties and working on other people's homes when he's in town.  He just hasn't had time to fix it.  Brought back memories of when I was feeding three kids and my dishwasher was broken.

When I got home, I bagged all my sheets and comforter, and covered everything with newspapers and garbage bags, put Utley in the car, and set off bug bombs in all the rooms.  Spiders came back with the cold weather.  When I first moved in, there were sometimes up to five crawling where my ceiling meets the wall.  I needed to get rid of them before my sister got here.  She's got a bad case of arachnaphobia.  The only bugs that skeeve me out are roaches and mosquitoes.  I'm also highly allergic to bees, wasps, hornets and yellow jackets.  I've been stung by all of them, and had horrible swelling result.  I'm supposed to get an epipen, but it isn't covered by my insurance, so I'm saving up to get it.  They come in packs of two, and cost $300.  Ouch.

After I set off the bombs, I headed to my hematologist to get my PT-INR checked.  Most of my doctors practice in a complex where I got my hands x-rayed, coz of constant pain when I use my thumbs.  I was also able to get bloodwork done to check my iron and CBC checked.  My pain specialist and PCP is also in that building.  I had to pick up prescriptions at the pain doc's before I went to the hematologist to check my PT-INR.  It was high again, so I can't take it till Monday, and she's changing my dose.

Then, Utley and I went to the laundromat.  On the way home, I dropped off the prescriptions.  When I got to the house, I tied Utley on his lead, and went in and opened windows and turned on fans.  Then, I grabbed Utley, and went to pick up Chinese for dinner.

Now, I finally have time to check in.

I'll try to post earlier tomorrow.

Love,

Trish
