Sunday Blessings
Good Morning OFF Family,
I'm usually late posting these days. Today, I'm up early.
Not sure if anyone here knows the experiment I've been doing the past month or so. I was told I'm allergic to practically every plant there is, except ragweed. Go figure. Plus, dust mites, dog dander and mold. So, a few days after that news, I heard that eating a teaspoon of locally harvested honey can help curb those allergies. Now, I despise honey. Plus, I was concerned about dumping. I decided I needed to try it, because I've had so many constant sinus infections. I've been religiously taking a teaspoon a day, for about six weeks now. And, I'm actually experiencing relief. Now, because I despise honey, I wa**** down with a freshly made cup of black coffee. It usually takes the whole cup to get the honey all the way down. I got a quart of the local honey from Colleen. She knows some beekeepers. Believe me I was skeptical, but desperate. The honey has to be local stuff, because it's made from the pollen that I'm allergic to in the first place.
Today, I'm getting ready to get to an AA meeting before church. While at church, I have nursery duty during the Sunday School hour. After church, I might go to the sports bar to see if I can watch some of the Eagles game. I also have work to do around the house.
Hugs,
Trish

Why not just take the allergy shots and be done with it. You don't need the calories the honey gives you and the whole thing of eating that concentrate of glucose will end up giving you a resistants to dumping, which, as you know, will cause you to tolerate all kinds of sugary sweety snacks. Do you want that? Take the shots.
Talk about being intrusive with your order to take the shots.
I saw the allergist, and would gladly get them, BUT he won't give me them. Been there, tried that. The honey is Plan B.
I would not have tried the honey, but after four sinus surgeries, MRSA in my sinuses, constant sinus infections, with umpteen antibiotics, I'M DESPERATE!
Please don't order me around, or lecture me on the dangers of ingesting a teaspoon of honey every morning. In addition to taking five sinus medicines a day, and chronic asthma attacks, I PREFER BREATHING WITHOUT PAIN OR WHEEZING.

You are the only person on this board that I cannot say one word to without you getting pissed. If you don't want our advice, why post. I gave you my insight, my advice and you say I am intrusive. Here's the deal, if you don't want me posting on your dribble, don't dribble on this board. I am slightly fed up with your eagerness to jump down my throat at every chance. Eat the honey: Gain a hundred pounds: I don't care.
I'm sorry. I don't remember asking for anyone's advice about the honey. My dribble, as you call it, was to inform my friends who are aware of my history, of my hard decision and the outcome.
Again. I don't need advice about this problem. I don't like taking the honey. But, I know no other option.
Please stop talking down to me, and I will gladly stop jumping down your throat.

I just had another thought.
I think I already ruined the whole dumping resistance thingy the two years I was drinking wine by a liter a day. I relapsed with wine for two years, and totally ruined my dumping reflex.

I think I am going to get bullied here but here goes: I think we are all allergic to dust mites and dander...it's invasive. When dust builds up, the mites take over. You could take allergy shots for dust mites but they still bite. I would advice getting an air purification system and dusting every other day. My allergists suggested I use murphys oil cause it cleans as well as picks up and I do and the dust mite problem is controlled. All the plants, well, I live in the ozark mountains so you can imagine what my life is like with my allergies, but I take the shots. To be honest, I would dump like crazy with honey and am surprised you didn't dump. I'd give up the idea of eating the honey. Also, the air filterer that I use is amazing for keeping the air clean. But, like everything else, it takes persistence in keeping the filter clean and moderately letting in fresh air.
The air purifier I ordered from Amazon just arrived on Friday.
