Vickie: I just lost my post to you, here goes a second time.

Just back from grocery shop, like to go supertime when less people....and in baking aisle saw a glutenfree vanilla cake mix, forget which brand, almost bought it, but had already decided on Driscoll raspberries on special for a double punnet at 2.59 and had decided on raspberry and mango fruit salad, and had whipping cream in my cart also on special, mind you could still have made the cake mix as a normal vanilla cake but put back . Next trip will try making your cake recipe with the glutenfree mix and see how it turns out....

Thanks again for the tip and have a restful week-end. ( Hah!)

Jennifer,

There are so many GF products now!  But you can't go wrong with fresh fruit and whipped cream anytime.  Sounds wonderful and I know everyone will enjoy the raspberries and mangos, and all.  Question:  what is a double punnet?  Never heard of "punnet".

Ah, we Canadians have British spelling sometimes ( labour vs labor, but we do write tire and not tyre like the Brits).... a punnet is usual half pint, so a double punnet is a long stretched out pint, double the length....

Think in ye olde country a punnet was actually a measure, like a bushel of apples or something...*****ally knows today what a bushel of apples ( usually apples in some sort of basket) or a bushel of wheat is (volume of some kind, cant even visualize). A punnet is really small...and allows raspberries not to squash down from too heavy a weight. Sorry.

Ok, got this off Wikipedia

A punnet is a small container for the gathering and sale of fruit and vegetables, typically small berries. The word is largely confined to Commonwealth countries and is of uncertain origin, but is thought to be a diminutive of "pun", a British dialect word for pound, from the days in which such containers were used as a unit of measurement.[1]

Jennifer....it is so good to hear from you today!! So glad this biopsy was not as painful as your last one. I don't think I would like the hanging and clamping thing either.....how uncomfortable! Why is it that after the hospital shower always feels so good. Guess because we really need it!! Try to take it easy please....don't overdo. I am just sick thinking about summer ending. I absolutely hate the cold, snowy, icy weather.

Hugs and love....connie d

Hi Piney and my OFF family:

Hope Bill's knee replacement went OK. Having been through this three times, I know how difficult it can be. Hope it's better than my Michigan knee (the right one). My Indiana knee, however, is doing OK.

Vickie, sorry to hear about your shoulder. Try to rest it a little and not pick up baby so much.

Carla, Miss Vinnie has so much hair! Congrats on the new little one. I know you're excited.

I am feeling so much better pain wise. My back was a little ouchy last night because of a little too much exercise ... think I did a little too many bridges or something. It felt a little bruised back there. But ice and lidoderm patches seemed to help. The mechanical traction has been wonderful ... I call it "the rack" ... stretches out my back and decompresses the spine.

Jennifer, I'm so glad you got the biopsy completed without too much pain.

I need to get into the shower and get some lunch. Off to work again tonight. Have a good night.
