It's Wednesday!

Wow, I've been waiting all morning for someone else to start the thread, but it looks like everyone is busy, so I'll take the plunge!

GOOD MORNING SISTAS!

I feel SO much better today.  Back to my old self, almost.  I don't get sick very often, and I'm a terrible baby about it when I do.  I want lots and lots of tea and sympathy!  LOL!

Not much going on here today, and I'm happy about it.  Chris and Baby and I have the house to ourselves for most of the day.  I'm catching up on FB and some things and enjoying the peace and quiet.

How is everyone else today?

Good morning our sweet Vickie.....

I hope you enjoy your quiet time today. Taking some time for YOU is always good!!  I am so glad you are feeling better.....finally!

As for me.....anorther day with nothing to do.....no car until tomorrow. Why is it when you can't drive somewhere that is when you really want to...UGH. I could have got a rental but didn't. Yesterday was a rough day. I am so worried about Nan. God Bless them all!!

I will try to check in later and see who else posts....seems like it will be a quiet day here again.

Have a wonderful day everyone. Pay It Forward!!

Prayers for many in need. Special prayers for Nan and her family.

Love and hugs to all....connie d

Connie, I read an update on Nan that said that she had decided to forego any more chemo and was going to let Hospice come in from now on.  I think the struggle with Morgan has just taken all her strength.  I pray for her daily.  That poor family has been through so much!

Good Morning Vickie and OFF-

Glad to read that you're feeling better.  Take the day to be lazy and enjoy!

Connie- Hope your car gets done soon and your not having to hoof it everywhere.

I was going to whine and moan my frustrations today but then I read the post about Nan and it put life back in perspective!  I am sure that the loss of Morgan has sapped all of her strength!  I remember reading about Morgan on this forum several years ago.  I wanted to knit a hat for her and just do anything I could to support her.  We have to do what we can to support Nan through her grief and her own battle with cancer.

Jennifer- Hope your procedure went well and they got the samples they needed so you don't have to undergo anymore painful tests.

Positive thoughts to the rest of you in need today.  I will now go do something productive to counteract my frustrations.

Cindi,

A situation like Nan's will put your life back into perspective, won't it?  I wish we could go and visit with her, just to give her some love and support.

I like to ***** and moan about little things sometimes, but really, I am so blessed.  All of my family is healthy, and what more do you need?  As the old saying goes, "when you have your health, you have everything".

Text me if you get down.  I'm going out to putter in my flowers.  Here is one of my favorite poems of all times:

The kiss of the sun for pardon,

The song of the birds for mirth,

One is nearer God's heart in a garden

Than anywhere else on earth.

Hi Vickie and my OFF family:

I feel pretty good today. I woke up with a bit of a headache but it's gone now. I think we are going to get some rain. My back feels pretty good. I want to do some baking (I spent time shredding what I had manually since my shredding disc on my food processor broke) but I have to get some baking powder (I had some but pitched it a while ago because it was hard as a rock and who knows how old). And after I get back from the store, I'll do laundry and start the baking.

Funny thing happened last night: I got a call from my boss, telling me someone in sports had put a line in the sports agate (the tiny type in the scoreboard section) saying "I really hate Eileen." They're investigating it and going to get whoever did it to apologize because it made the paper. Geez, it's weird to be hated that much. Don't know who I pissed off (I'm a bit amused by it, actually). I guess the sports editor was really pissed about it ... so it wasn't him (unless he expected someone to catch it ... but really I don't think he would do it ... he's a slow writer but he's professional and wouldn't do that).

Glad you are feeling better, Vickie. I hope Chris is taking over the baby-sitting chores and letting you get some rest. You are the grandmother, not the mother. Remember that.

Well, I need to get dressed and get out to the store. Have a good day.

Wow, that's pretty damn juvenile behavior!  Someone deserves to get fired over that one.

Good Afternoon,
Saw allergist this morning. Looks like I'm allergic to all vegetation, dust mites, and dog dander. I have to part with my down pillows and put a HEPA filter in my bedroom.

My heart breaks for Nan and her family.

Huggles,
Trish
Seek always to do some good, somewhere. Every man has to seek in his own way to realize his true worth. You must give some time to your fellow man. For remember, you don't live in a world all your own. Your brothers are here too.

Oh, no, Trish!  Not dog dander.  What are you going to do about Utley?  Can the doctor give you allergy shots for that?
