Cool Monday from Lake Michigan
Good Morning OFF friends
Its downright chilly here glad we have a nice furnace! The troublemaking trio are up and fed and pounding on the door, I suspect they want out to terrorize the park! Today I am gonna ziptie the pests to the channel wall and let them watch boats go by, or maybe bury their little feet up the knees and let them make sand castles, or maybe bungie cord them trees on our site and let them make watch the cars go by or superglue the seat of their pants to a rock and give them toy cars! General theme here being inmobility! Im in my favorite park and haven't had time to enjoy walking the channel or sit in the sun with a book or go cruizing with the camera! Oh well the terrorist tots come first this time!
Babies mama was at the house when steve woke yesterday demanding the ss check she seems to think we get. Steve just called police for trespassing and today Ill ask the social worker to inform mama how it works she's real good that way, I am heading for Home Wed have to drive this big tin can with 3 babies!!! I am gonna wear them out in the AM and then head home during naptime> Auntie will help ride herd on the trip then Thurs we have to go take her home. Maybe I have conned a sister into babysitting 2 days so I have a minibreak
I am sounding like Vickie this am I am missing my hubby. though for not nearly as long! Well the terrorist tots see auntie out of her tent and are demanding out!!!
Prayers going up from our house to yours! HOpe you all have a happy day
Good morning Jo.....I already posted on Trish's thread.....just want to say hello.
You have made me actually laugh out load this morning...your wonderfully funny ideas for the trio....I would feel the same way!!
Hope you have a safe trip home Wednesday. So glad you will have some help. I hope too that you can get a couple days off for yourself...you earned it and need it!! That mother of the trio is crazy...why would she even think she should get money for those kids. Sorry but what a loser!!
Have a great day!!
Love, hugs and prayers.....connie d
Good Morning Jo, OFFr's. . .
Pretty funny your ideas about trying to keep the trio from moving around much, somehow, I think they'd help break each other out. . . sure hope you manage to get some help/relief.
I had a good weekend, headed to my sister-in-law's house from Delaware where I work (last week) at 3:20 and arrived at 7:35, made great time until I hit the Kennedy Airport area and then it was a slow crawl the rest of the way, took 2 hours to go less than 50 miles. . . but I got there just in time for my nephew's birthday dinner, it was a strange ride, knowing my brother was not going to be there. . . all in all they are doing well. . . Saturday we got up and ran some errands for the family gathering that my SIS was having for Nick's b-day, then to the Football game my other nephew, Christian, was playing in. . . they lost, but I want to share an interesting tid-bit. . . when we arrived, it was overcast, a very slight sprinkle, the winds started blowing and the sun came out for the rest of the game. . . but the interesting thing that happened was when my cousin and I walked my SIL's Mom, who is 85, to the bathrooms, outside the bathroom, I looked down and saw a beat up dime lying on the sidewalk, so I bent down to pick it up. . . I looked at it and it was a 1966 year dime. . . my brother's birth year. . . not sure what you all believe in, but I believe that if we are attuned to it, the spirits of our departed ones sometimes make contact with us. What are the odds of finding a 1966 dime? I felt that my brother was letting me know he is with us and happy to see us pulling together. . . the gathering for Nick Saturday night was nice and I woke up yesterday at 7:23 and made a cup of coffee, packed up my car and headed home, made great time, 2.5 hours, and then shopped for and made a birthday dinner for my son, who turned 40 yesterday. . .
So this is my last week at my current job, cleaning out and taking home what I've collected over the past 4.5 years and looking forward to a new beginning next Monday. My day today will include a meeting this evening. . .
Wishing everyone the best day possible and prayers and good wishes for all!
Hugs, Laureen

Good morning Laureen!
I just wanted to tell you that I very much believe that your brother was letting you know he is fine and still with you in spirit. At some point, before my dad died, he and my mom must have talked about something similar. I wasn't privy to that conversation, but every time my mom finds a penny, she smiles and picks it up, and says that my dad sent it to her that day. Now who is to say what is true and what is not, but what I say is, if YOU believe it, it is true.
Also, not long after my dad passed, I had a dream in which he came to me, smiling, and wearing a particular yellow shirt of his that was always one of my favorites. In fact, I have a picture of him in that shirt that was taken on a very happy day very long ago. I was so shocked to see him that I literally fell out of bed! But I knew it was Daddy, and I knew he was letting me know he was okay.
So take comfort where you find it, sweet sista. The connection you feel with your brother is real.
