Last Sunday

Good morning all my OFF sistas!

Wow, I sat down to read and no one's here yet.  Lazy Sunday, or busy Sunday?  Take your pick.

Today is Last Sunday for us.  Butch is leaving today.  I need to have him at the airport by about 2 p.m.  Just a few more hours left to go.  I'm trying not to be sad about it.

We did indeed have a little party for Mike last night.  I guess it went okay.  He seemed to relax a little around us last night.  Chris and Mike's good friend Andrea (also works at Hobby Lobby) and her son Jared came, too.  So we had plenty of conversation with no awkward pauses.  And I guess the food was good because I made a HUGE casserole of chicken spaghetti and Mike ate 3 helpings, and Chris and Andrea both ate 2 helpings.  It's more than half gone.

So I tried to sleep last night, but I kept waking up every hour listening for the baby.  I know that he had two parents here last night, but I guess I'm in full-out "mommy mode" again.  Anyway, I was awake at 2 a.m., 3 a.m., 4 a.m., and then Benny came and got in bed with me at 5 a.m.  Oy vey.  Another sleepy day for Mimi.

Tomorrow morning a friend of Christie's has offered to do a photo shoot of newborn baby Reese for free.  Think Anne Geddes type photos.  And then tomorrow afternoon I take Chris and Reese to the doctor for her first follow-up visit.  This doctor also does baby care?  Anyway, we are starting with her.  But I can tell the baby is doing fine.  Good color, good appetite, good elimination.  I still can't get over how healthy he is!  God is good!

Well, I need to move along now.  Time for a shower.  Thinking of everyone, even if I don't post individual thoughts and prayers.

Love you all!

Good Afternoon Everybody.

I just got home from church. Spent Sunday School hour in the nursery rocking Frankie. Rough gig I have there, NOT. I loved it.

There's supposed to be a picnic this afternoon, but it started raining. My arthritis has really flared up this weekend, so I don't do cold and damp outdoor stuff.

I have more cleaning to do here, so I'll work on that after lunch.

Hugs,
Trish

Good afternoon Vickie and everyone....

Vickie....so glad the party went well. Hope Butch's send off went well too. How long will he be gone this time? Sorry you had such a rough night's sleep. I tossed and turned a lot and don't feel rested at all today. Hope you can squeeze in a nap today! Baby Reese sounds so sweet....wish I could hold him and smell that wonderful baby smell!

Tri**** is so sweet that you take care of the babies and children at church. I am sure they just love you too!!

I haven't been feeling well the last couple days. So weak and so fatigued. I know some is my Fibromyalgia. I hope it passes soon. I feel like I could sleep for days.

I am not planning on much today. I did go for a short walk. Just need to feel better.

Wishing you all a really nice day! Prayers for many in need.

Love and hugs to all....connie d

Vickie-

Can't wait to see the pictures.  Sounds like your dinner went well.  Hope Butch doesn't encounter any travel delays.

If I were you, I'd buy some ear plugs to wear at night.  You need your rest.  Christie needs to learn to deal with having two kids.  You've got enough on your plate.  Yeap, I'm preaching again.

Sunny today in Maine after several days of rain and dreary.  I'm drying apples again today.  I core them, quarter them, slice them, sprinkle cinnamon on them.  It takes about 12 hours for them to dry properly.  I'll use them as snacks this winter.

Spent a large part of the morning working on laying out the dummy for the Refuge book.  It's coming together nicely, just need writers for captions and copy still missing.  Lots of beautiful images but need some copy to tie it all together.

Someone posted a recipe on Facebook for brownies made from greek yogurt, oatmeal, applesauce and cocoa powder.  I tried the recipe.  Not bad.  They're 37 calories and have the consistency of fudge rather than cakey like a brownie.

Vertigo is still here but medication is helping a bit.  I just can't move my head suddenly.

Well, that's all for now.  Have to peddle on the elliptical and clean up the kitchen for the apples and brownies.  May haul some firewood for a fire to take the chill off this evening.  Positive thoughts to all of you who need them.
