My plastic surgery

needs a revision.  This news was totally unexpected.  I had my 6 week follow up yesterday.  I had very long sagging breasts and had a lift with implants.  From about 1 week post-op I've called my right breast frankenboob.  It has a weird oblong shape to it.  I thought the implant just hadn't fully dropped yet and when it did this space would be filled out but the surgeon told me that the sagging under the breast is breast tissue.  The breast tissue swelled from the trauma of the lift which is normal but didn't have the elasticity to retract.  He is not happy with the results and wants to do a revision.  I have to pay for the surgery center and anesthesiologist which will be about $1300.  My breasts look much better than before the surgery but can look much better so I'm going to do the revision in about a month.  I'm just not looking forward to a 2 hour surgery and another recovery.

Hello Pix....sorry to hear you will need more surgery. It sounds like it will be worth it though. After coming this far you want to look great!!

Many prayers are on the way. Hope this surgery goes well and you have a speedy recovery as well.

Love and hugs....connie d

Thank you.

The breast lift and implants are such an improvement but knowing that my breasts can look better, I want to do the revision. Fortunately DH is supportive of this. I just hate to put him through the stress of me being under anesthesia again.

Sorry you have to go through this again. I had to go through a revision with my right knee replacement; it's still not good. It's one of the reasons I've never had plastics. Too much surgery. But I hope this works out for you.

My plastic surgery was my fifth surgery. I was so relieved to be done with surgeries. It is very stressful for my DH when I'm under anesthesia and plastic surgery was particularly hard because of the length of the surgery and the fact that it is purely for vanity and not medical reasons. He wants me to be happy with the results and is supportive of the revision.
