Good morning Tuesday!
Good morning my sistas!
I didn't think I'd be the one opening the thread today, but here goes!
Been up since 6 a.m. with Mr. Benny. Bless his little heart. That child slept 14 hours straight and didn't even wet the bed! He fell asleep in the car yesterday afternoon around 4 p.m. We put him in his bed when we got home and he didn't stir again until 6 a.m. this morning. He had a very long night with Mommy and Mike and the new baby!
Mommy and Baby Reese are doing fine this morning. I'm leaving for the hospital in just a little bit. Chris ordered a new breast pump, and of course, they tried to deliver it yesterday. So I'm waiting until 9 a.m. to be at the post office to pick it up and then on to the hospital for my morning sugars! Oh, God, that baby grabbed my heart yesterday! I knew it would happen, but it's always a shock at how little and sweet a newborn baby is.
Chris and I have to make a list of what all else we might need and when I leave the hospital, I'll go shopping. Then home to make as much progress as I can here. Butch has a doctor's appt at 3:15 this afternoon, so we'll go do that, then pick up Benny from pre-school and bring him to visit Mommy and new baby brother at the hospital. Expecting Chris to be released sometime tomorrow.
So, gotta scoot, as Trish always says. Thank you so much for all the sweet notes and comments yesterday. I'm going to need all the support and encouragement over this next month while Butch is gone, but for today, everything in my world is GOOD!
Love you all!
I'm on FMLA for my plastic surgery. I return to work in 2 weeks. I plan to organize my scrapbooking room during the remaining time off.
I start a beginning sewing class in about 2 weeks. I sure hope it goes better than my home ec class in jr high. I bought a new sewing machine and it will be delivered tomorrow. With this purchase I kind of committed myself to learning how to sew!
I weigh myself daily. The swell hell from plastic surgery messes with my head. My day to day weight has fluctuated as much as 3 pounds.
Morning all!
Congrats Vickie with the new grand baby!
I've been learning how to quilt my own quilts on my sewing machine. So far not so bad. I can't believe how mu*****ost to send your finished quilt top out to be quilted, so I'm trying. I'm hoping I'll get good at it. Have a lot to do to get ready for Oregon and spending time with my sissy.
Hope you all have a great day, thoughts and prayers for all,
Debbie
Hotter than Hattie in MI today. It is crazy that it is hotter up here in the mitten than out in Texas and NM. Bill went and got his trip to the mill in early and now I am sitting here on the computer looking at the weather to keep him in the house and out of the heat. I spent Sat and Sun at the Michigan Ren Feast. I did do some sipping with the girls. I did have three Woodchucks each day, first day over 7 hours and the second over 12 hours and shared the third. I also had bad fried foods, I would take a bite or two and than handed it of to the other three wenches. Worked great and even though the scale showed a 0.2 pound gain each day, this morning I was down 1.8 pounds. I THOUGHT the walking should have out weighed the Woodchuck but, that normally isn't the case.
Vickie congratulations on the new grandson. I have been awol for a few days and didn't even realize you had another on the way.
PIX Congratulations on the PS. I missed what you had done. How is going? Don't let that IV and swelling weight get you down.
Debbie I started learning to quilt tops on small stuff. I made Christmas stockings. Than as the Grands came along I made them stockings. I got good enough for that but, that is as far as I got. Good luck and let us see the finished products.
Hope all have a great day.
Hi Pineview,
On 8/2 I had a tummy tuck, mons lift, and breast lift with augmentation. I will be 6 weeks out on Friday. So far I'm happy with the results. I wanted hip bones so he made the incisions past my hip bones and then up my back a little to take in the waist too. What surprised me is my VSG scars that were about four inches above my navel are now about one inch below my navel. He also extended the breast lift incisions back to remove the extra skin under my armpits.

HUGSSSSSSSSSS
Babies always steal my heart, but especially my grandchildren. The second I held them, I felt something I never felt with any other baby. Even different from my own babies.
I have to get my INR checked, and pick up some groceries.
Huggles,

Hi Vickie and my OFF family:
Sorry I've been missing lately. Been reading, just not posting. Not feeling all that good; I've had a cold plus my back is bothering me and keeping me from sleeping. The pain patches helped with the pain, but they made me so loopy I was falling asleep at work. Can't do that. So I finally pulled it off and flushed it down the toilet.
Then I hurt my arm last Friday and every time I take off the dressing, it starts to bleed again ... this morning it wasn't as bad as it had been (the bleeding). But I think it is healing ... just very slowly. Bruising still looks bad. Between that, the cold and my back, it's no wonder I don't sleep well. Got about four hours last night, then took about a half hour nap before noon when I couldn't keep my eyes open any longer.
So Vickie, I thought Butch was home for good ... didn't realize he was going once again. Did I miss something? Glad the baby is healthy.
Anyway, not much else happening here. Have a good day.
Good evening Vickie and everyone....
Vickie that little one looks a lot like Benny!! So darn cute!! I can only imagine that sweet baby smell! i would love to see a pic of Benny and the baby together. Now is his name Reese or Reeve? Last post you sent me said Reeve was right....now today it is Reese? I guess I am more confused then most...CRS or dumb blond....you can pick!!!
I hope things go well for you when Butch leaves. I really hope he retires soon...you really need him!! Wish I could be there to help. You know I would help you anyway I could.
I haven't done much today. Too hot and very humid. I don't feel very well either. I think after being gone for 10 days my body has to adjust to the cat and everything again.
I am just to fatigued to make comments to everyone this evening. Know that I care! My computer was down until about 4PM that is why I am so late.
Have a nice evening! Prayers for many in need.
Love and hugs to all.....connie d
