SAW THE DR TODAY....

He said my range is improving nice since first visit to him!!! He asked how the new pill was doing and I said wonderful...except that the pain I had last night was big time and no reason for it to be that bad!! So he asked if I wanted the shot today. YES!!!!!! I am ready to try anything to help rid me of this pain!!!!!!!! So I got the shot today and OMG it hurt!!!!!!! LOL Told me I could still do therapy today but let them know I had the shot this morning. OK. Went to therapy and told them I had that shot. They said and you are HERE to do therapy??? Yes...they said I should take today off. I told them dr said I COULD do therapy today just not as hard. OK. Well some did hurt but I did them all!!!!!!! Arm is sore some especially in the shoulder area now where the shots went in. Said I would probably be SORE tomorrow. Maybe not...and do NOT put any heat on it today or tomorrow. ICE only. OK. Also dr gave me new scripts for more drugs...I am going broke here!!! No health insurance but do get some off with this card I got in the mail. Good thing for that card!!! Still expensive!!!!

Anyhow that is all for me today other than right now I am so tired!!!

Dear Judy, hope doing exercises today is not going to bother you tomorrow...Most people I know take two days off before doing anything ....which is why I suppose the physio people were surprised at you being there. Take it easy, hope you sleep tonight.

Jennifer...OMG I hurt today and it started last night....OMG!!!!! I should NEVER have gone to therapy at all yet!!!!!!!!! I learned big time!!!!

Judy...it sounds like things with your shoulder is heading in the right direction. I hope this all works for you. You have been in so much pain.

Glad your doctor listened to you and gave you the cortisone shot.  I've had those in my feet several times and also my knees.  They're not fun going in but do seem to work well for a long period of time.  Continue with the therapy for a while to help release the frozen shoulder some more.  Maybe this will take care of the problem.

Judy-  I learned to strap ice packs on the feet and keep them elevated for a day, then magically the pain went away.  Keep icing today like they told you.  You'll notice a difference in a few days.  It may take more than one shot to help you get complete relief.  Hang in there.

Hi Cindi...thanks for the help here...omg I am in such pain yet tonight. Going to ice it soon as I finish checking the board and FB...dr mentioned atleast 2 shots maybe 3...felt soooo good yesterday and last night OUCH!!!!!!!!!! Still OUCH!!!!!!!! Will NEVER do therapy again after a shot!!!!!!!! NEVER!!!!!!!!!

I think you learned an important life lesson with this first shot.    Yesterday you felt good because they use novacaine in the injection.  Next time listen to the physical therapists.  Hugs back at you.
