Rainy Wednesday!
Afternoon OFF family...OMG what a day!!!!!! Started out ok but it went from ok to bad........went to therapy, did that pretty good...new things she is having me do now. LOTS of pressure in that shoulder area!!! WOW!!!! Got that done and stopped at the dr's window. Told them I was still waiting for the return phone call from YESTERDAY. She went to check if anything from dr. Next thing I knew dr was there wanting me to come in and talk. OK...he said he WOULD give me the shot...BUT he would rather I hold off on it til maybe Monday when I see him again. He said he would give me a pill to take for the feeling sick part and to keep taking the Percocet. He said IF there is no change after this new pill to call him again and he would either get me something different to take or we could do the shot. He said he doesn't like doing the shot on people MY age. Usually WE get better without that. Shots are for OLDER people. I told him I WAS old!!! I am almost 61!! He lol said he would rather I try it HIS way first. OK I will try it. So I now have 10 ZOFRAN ODT 4MG TABLETS to try. Expensive!!! Better work!!!
Got home from that saw the police parked in front of a tenants apartment. OK must be doing one of their CHECK-UPS on her again. Got in my office and my phone is ringing. Next door neighbor to that woman. Whats going on? Not sure just got back home from therapy. OK listen to police scanner...can't find next of kin...OH ****!!!!!!!!! Bet she is dead...so I walked over with Rick to see what was happening. Officer said she died. Did I know any next of kin? NO. She refused to give me any emergency contacts!! Said it was none of my business. OK...said I would go call corporate see if they had anything on her that would help. I also called METRO housing that she had with us. NOTHING!!!!!! So police are trying to locate her family or friends...good luck!!! Funeral home came after the body. Now we have to wait til first of the week to see if any family or friends come forward. If not...we call our attorney to see what we do with her things. Wonderful. She hated everyone unless she wanted something. Sorry she died but glad she is gone. She was in her 50's. Very hateful....
So after that I about had run out of time to get Bandit to groomers for his bath and hair cut....he didn't want to go there!!! Had to drag him out of the car!!! Not like him at all...maybe because the big dogs were outside? Anyhow I left him and he was digging at the gate for me to come back...make me cry....
Went to drug store for my new script...not ready yet...WTH???? Been almost 3 hours!!!!!! 20 minutes she told me...so I grabbed a turkey sandwich and went to car to eat it. Got my script went to post office mail out my new leases and recerts. Came home and I am pooped beyond pooped!!!!!!!!!
Lazyboy and heating pad...here I come!!!!!!!!

Judy, hope you start feeling better. Sounds like the therapist is working you good.
Isn't it sad when a person doesn't have anyone to contact when they die? I have at least that.
My cold is still not that good but I have a little more energy today. Headache is gone finally. Had to open the window (after the manager came by and fixed it) because the air froze up. Not that it's that hot, but I can't sleep with the windows open around here ... not really safe.
Nope, never got a pneumonia shot. I did get a flu shot last year and will get one again this year. But since colds are caused by a virus, I don't think a pneumonia shot would have any effect on that. But my doc has been after me to get one anyway because of my age and my asthma, so I'm probably getting one this year (and I'm going to bug him about getting a shingles vaccine too). But that's later this month.
Still a little stuffed up but well enough to go to work.
you will be amazed how much that pneumonia shot will help colds stay away!!!!! and IF you get one...its not much of a one at all...mine should be update soon I thik have to check my record on that...but no flu shot for me!!!! LOL thought about the shingles shot also...those are terrible if you get them!!!!!

Every time I get a cold, right at the start, I drink Celestial Seasonings Wellness Tea with echinacea and zinc. I have that for a couple of days. That seems to lessen the severity of the cold. The first day of the cold was horrible. Monday and Tuesday were the worst. Tuesday I had no energy at all. (Fortunately, I was off.) Yesterday, I felt better energy wise. Today, I feel better although a little hoarse. But certainly OK to go to work.
