Daily Commitment to Move. . .
Nancy,
There are times when all I have energy to do is sit in a quiet place and slow my mind down. I appreciate your words of wisdom more than you will ever know. It can never be about one size fits all but making it all work for individuals. Rest, quiet, and reflection is one of the most difficult exercises that I have ever done...the mind is a powerful organ that takes energy and lost of it to control. For those who say the tongue is the most hard to control...they have not tried to calm the mind.
Love you a bunch
My daily commitment to move included driving the tractor to rake hay. Than I ran home to help the grandkids get into and out of the pool after school. Made the grands snacks/dinner and got back into the truck to get back to the tractor to cut more hay. Got home with DH at 7. Transplanted some mums and took water down to the front (350 ft) and got the mail. Than I got DH some dinner and thru in a pie for his dessert. Writing this while I wait for it to get done.
As I have said before, exercise has to accomplish something for me. Putting on shoes and walking to nowhere isn't an option.
Everyone has her own exercise commodification. My daughter and her husband are farmers so they work from dawn till dusk and for her all movement accomplishes something towards their sustainability.
As long as what you do is working toward your weight loss and building your muscles, then plow forward. When your activity stops promoting weight loss, then you might want to re-evaluate what you are doing.
Many people do not want to add activity that isn't producing something for their life sustaining missions; if those activities stop achieving weight loss, it is possible to do exercise while doing your daily activities...when I wash dishes, for example, I do leg lifts from side to side. Or, at work, I take the stairs.
You might look for those areas in your life where you can do a few movements that will promote muscle tone and weight loss.
