Abut the Angel and Much More

We have some interest in reviving the Angel program. I have agreed to angel Jan, whose surgery is on the fourth. We are going to text and as soon as I get the word, I will post.
Now what I would like to do is do something we have not tried before...How about a virtual buddy system. Because we know accountability is huge with us addicts and most of us are addicts, I have been playing with the same idea that AAA uses. And with technology being so prevalent, what I would like to implement, for those who would like to participate, a program by which we text or email each other and maybe synchronize some exercise time, communication during stressful eating times, or just to say hi.
For any of you who want to participate in the angel program (AP) or the virtual buddy system (VBS) or both programs, please use this thread to sign up and if you know who you want as a VBS, list the name. I don't know why you cannot have more than one VBS.
I want to do the AP and the VBS...I will happily text...I will wait to see who all signs up and if one of you doesn't have a partner, I will work with those who are left over or if one of you is just dying to work with me, put the name down.
For the AP, you will give you phone number to the pre-op and on the day of the surgery, you will either call or text and provide some comfort; after surgery, you will call or be called or text or be texted and then you will relate the information to the board members with a Congratulations to X, she or he is now on the losers' bench. All went well.
THE VBS will require exchanging phone and email and then over the course of the weeks, text and say, hey, let's get our yoga around the same time. Or, I'm going to do some head and shoulder rolls, wanna join me. Or, I am really wanting to eat some cookies, please, talk me off the ledge. LOL.
Okay, sign up and let's get busy.
Jo if you need some help let me know. Did you get everything you need for the little guys? I wish I had been on at the time as I had a double stroller and a couple highchairs if you needed them. Are you getting a system down with them.

Just feeling like a smart a** today, I am the one that is always messing up, misspelling and using the wrong words.
I do think using the same ideas as AA is a very good idea seriously. For sure I am an addict.
I love your ideas and am glad you are so much activity to this board. I am sorry to say I am not Technologically prevalent. No texting and I still have a dumb phone and use a camera to take photos. I can just verily find my way here but would love to help anyone that would like some help. I have had a band and now have a sleeve so any body wanting a buddy just yell!
