Remember the Angel?
Let's bring the angel back.
Remember--my angel was Jan.
For those who weren't around in the days we had angels, on the day that a person was having surgery, the angel would have either the person's cell phone or one of the family members numbers, and on the day of surgery, either the family member would call the angel or the angel would call the family member and once he or she got the word that surgery went well and the person was on the bench, they would post and the celebration wold begin...virtual celebration. Sometimes, people would post things like, remember, drink your water...or take it easy but don't stay down...things like that.
If you want to participate in the Angel program, maybe we could keep a list of those who want to participate and then when a person is about to have sugary, an angel can volunteer to make the calls and post.
Do you guys want to do that?
When I had my surgery I wasn't busy at the salon, so I would go to the hospital a visit folks who had just had their surgery. They were glad to have the visitor, and usually the family members that were there appreciated seeing someone who was healthy and doing well after WLS. You know how family worries! It seemed to calm a lot of fears.
