What are you eating today?
Breakfast - protein drink
Snack- none- was at the peridontist for a cleaning
Water****ep water with me at all times)
L- met friend for lunch- grilled haddock, sliced tomatoes
S- FF yogurt
Dinner- the other half of yesterday's chicken breast(tomato sauce & mozz cheese), cucumber from the garden
Snack- pear pieces (they weren't sprayed so we jusyt cut around the protein parts...lolol)
Now in the OLD DAYS (remembers my parents speaking), we just cut around the wormhole - and the worm- and ate AROUND IT...WE DO NOT WASTE FOOD!
That's funny...lolol..we have many dwarf fruit trees hear and eat what's in season...right now it's pears...I am struggling to get the event wrapped up from last week..banking done, reports need to be written, still sending thank you letters to the list...we have nectarines, peaches, pears, apples, prunes.. and we do not spray...we avoid chemicals as much as possible. Usually we can keep up with the crops but .but this year the PEAR crop is HUGE!
On the other hand, our tomatoes, peppers, onions, celery & herbs did not thrive due to the lack of consistency of the weather on our clay base garden(despite all the natural additives to the soil) this summer.
hubby, who almost died of starvation in Holland during WW2..will never allow food to be wasted...this is why I have NINE quarts of pears sitting in my kitchen right now...
...did I mention that I am getting really tired of pears? *s*
Good evening....
Yesterday......I find it easier to write down what I eat for the day and post it the next day. Then there is no changes to be made.
Breakfast...Boost High Protein Drink and a small banana
Lunch....chicken breast (4 ounce) and green beans
Snack....naughty....1/2 snickerdoodle cookie....fresh made!!
Dinner...pork roast (3 ounces) 4 baby carrots and 1/2 new potato
Snack....strawberries
