Busy Beaver Friday
Good morning sistas!
Surprised no one has started the thread yet today.
For those who didn't see my late post yesterday, our sista Laureen has lost her brother. He passed away yesterday. My sincere condolences to Laureen and her family.
I'm just about through with my cleaning frenzy and feeling better about this house! Oh the dust bunnies and I had a mighty battle, but they are vanquished once again! LOL!
Going to do most of my cooking for the weekend today. Got to make cole slaw, 3 bean salad, and peach cobbler this morning. This evening I am making shrimp kabobs, along with a few chicken kabobs, since one of the girls doesn't eat shrimp. Bought stuff to make several breakfast casseroles, too. Lots of sandwich and snackie things. And enough alcohol that a good time should be had by all! LOL! Carrie said these girls are ready to relax and let their hair down this weekend. And why not? They all had a tough summer in grad school and it will all start back up again for them next week. They don't have to drive anywhere, so I say let them all have a good time.
Going to try making peach sangria with white wine. That sounds good to me. I won't have but a single glass, but I might as well enjoy it, huh?
I'll try to take some pics this weekend and post them on FB, but if I don't check in for a couple of days, y'all know why I'm so busy.

Well I'm going to Sacramento today with Michael, Sac State starts on Tues. This well be the last time I see him till X-mas. I know he loves his freedom I'm just not ready. LOL!

Have a sip of Sangria for me! I cant tolerate ant kind of liquor!!!!! I got home from North Carolina via Chicago at 2am this morning!!! Im headed to Ft Lauderdale next to take Bentley to my girlfriend. she is going to take care of him while we go have a baby!!!!
Ill head there within the next eight days.
The jewish holidays are starting on the fourth. Not looking forward to the food. Im going to try not to cook to much!!!!
Afternoon OFF family...sitting here feeling so dam depressed its not funny!!!! I HURT and am feeling sorry for myself!!! The new medication makes my arm feel better somewhat BUT it gives me one hell of a headache and also I feel like throwing up!!!!! I eat with the food so that should help...hahaha it doesn't!!!!! I lay down like it says to do...that doesn't help either. Called for help today...she told me it should get better for me soon. Yeah ok thanks. Therapy is in just about an hour or so. NOT looking forward to that at all!!! Just the thought of the pain scares me!!! Went to the bank and used the drive through. Stupid me forgot my should hurt...reached out to get the canister...OMG!!!!!!! PAIN shot through me like a bullet!!!!!!!!! I was in tears!!!!!!! I got our checks in it and put back in to send and sat there and cried!!!!!!!! Got my stuff back used right hand to get it out and left and cried most of the 12 miles home. Right now I feel like throwing up so bad its not funny. Here come the tears again...why me?? What did I do to get this??? I would NEVER wish this on my worst enemy!!!

Vickie....Benny must be getting to school okay....I know he was wanting to stay home....a lot more one on one attention at home.....it is hard for them to deal with sharing their time with others. I am sure he has fun there!! I love your menu for the weekend....sounds perfect! I am sure the girls will have a great time. They can enjoy the food and drinks and great company too. Be sure when you have a drink for each of us that you drag them out...LOL! You will be an awesome hostess!! Have a wonderful weekend!!

Judy....my heart is breaking for you!! OMG the pain you are dealing with...so sorry sweetheart! I was praying the new meds would help so much more. I can't believe they are letting this drag on so long. I would have went to the ER long ago!! I know you can't because of the insurance issue. I will still keep praying for you!!! I guess from now on you need to walk into the bank or have Rick do it...that sounded so painful!!
Jennifer...hello...how you have a wonderful weekend!
I went in for my last PT/OT yesterday. I only have a few sessions left that my insurance will cover. I decided to save them for a flare up. They all agreed. I am blessed to have Pam. She does a lot of the treatments for me as well. I also use a tens unit and a H-Wave and they help so much. My neck and back are so much better....finally. I was mentioning to my doctor how my hip and leg hurt from the hip I broke. He examined it again. I ended up getting two Cordisone shots. They hurt like hell but they sure do work. I hadn't had any in about 3 years. My hip and leg aren't hurting at all today. I will be going in for another procedure. They are going to try and remove some of the scar tissue from that area as well. They said there is so much that it is causing me a lot of extra pain. I have heard that from others as well. Just what I want another procedure. Oh well if it will get rid of the pain I am all for it.
