Its Saturday again in Michigan

Good morning Jo, Judy, Debbie and all my OFF sistas!

And they're off . . . to the Outlet Mall!  Carrie and gang just left for some intense shopping this morning.  Those gals are after some Luchese cowboy boots.  They are going dancing tonight and they all want new boots. 

Then we're taking the boat out this afternoon.  Should be a good day for it.  Triple digits again, don't ya know.  Whew!  That cold lake water will feel good swimming this afternoon.

Tonight they are going to a big dance hall in San Antonio. 

I guess tomorrow will be tubin' on the river.

Last night I made those shrimp kabobs for supper and a peach cobbler.  This morning I made fruit salad and a sausage cheese bread thing.  Lunch today will be sandwiches and dinner tonight is pulled pork sandwiches with cole slaw, 3 bean salad, cantaloupe, and ice cream sandwiches for dessert.  Easy foods today.

Tomorrow morning I am making an overnight french toast casserole and fried bacon.  I'm doing a LOT of cooking!  LOL!

But it's fun and this old house rang with laughter last night.  I don't know what kind of drink Carrie made me but it was good.  Something with lemonade and vodka and iced tea?  I could only drink about half my glass.  Tonight I am making that peach sangria for the crowd.

Well, I need to shower and get things organized for the day.  Love you all!

Jo....I know how you feel about the grandma/mommy times. I just don't have the  energy to have children around all the time. I feel so bad for those babies. I am glad they have you to show them love and caring. I am sure your canning will be so good. Nothing tastes quite like homegrown! 

Judy....I hope the 1/2 meds help. I agreed staying home is the best thing for you. I don't know what to do besides keep praying this is all behind you soon.

Debbie....hope you have a great weekend too. Your son will be just fine. He will miss you too!!

Vickie....what a great bunch of girls you have there. It sounds like the weekend is going well. Glad everyone is having so much fun. It is nice for you to be able to enjoy this time together. I am sure Benny loves all the attention too!!

I am not doing much myself today. I went to Target earlier and picked up some things I needed. Then stopped at the grocery store to grab a couple things. It is now resting the rest of today and the rest of the weekend. My daughter wants me to stay all week so I won't be going home (Pam's****il next Sunday. I enjoy the freeness here and the BED to sleep in!! 

Hoping everyone has a beautiful weekend. Prayers for many in need. Has anyone heard any news about Nan and Morgan? I am getting so worried. More prayers for them on the way!!
