I know that I need to be walking to make my surgery a success.  I have feet trouble and it makes it sooo painful.  Have any of you done well loosing and maintaining without exercise?

Purple-

I have foot problems and knee problems but exercise is key.  I was able to get into a water fitness class when I was first losing and that helped immensely.  I bought a recumbent elliptical machine to keep up the workouts over the summer as walking just aggravates my heel spurs, my neuroma's and knee problems.

Consider other forms of exercise especially water aerobics or water fitness classes at the local Y.

Nancy,

As the weight comes off, exercise becomes easier. It your feet hurt, you might consider water exercises which are so much kinder on the joints.

I am 6 years and 9 months out - 65 years old  I have kept off over 200 pounds by sticking to the plan, and keeping the "temptation but not nutritional" foods out of my home. My favorite form of exercise has been the warm water pool at the gym.

The lovely people on the OFF site keep spirits up and never scold. If you have a local support group, try to attend that regularly.
