Saturday Morning in Michigan

Good Morning Family,

I am currently going through a medication change on one of my bedtime meds.  I asked my psychiatrist for a decrease in the dose because of one of the side effects.  Until I fully adjust, I'm not sleeping as late as I usually have.

In the meantime, my son-in-law, and his friend from church, finished installing my air conditioner.  It's not very hot, but the humidity difference is very noticeable.  I'm very grateful they were successful in the hook-up and getting it working.  Now, for the million dollar question:  There were a total of four men from my church, my son-in-law included, helping to install it.  I feel like sending each of them a gift card to a restaurant, with a thank you note.  Would that be tacky?

Today, I am doing some cooking to freeze for when I'ved had my surgery.  Today's project is stuffed cabbage.  My daughter loves them as much as I do.  Mom taught us years ago.  I've mastered them.  Colleen is still learning.  My sister never learned, and I didn't learn till about ten years ago.

Must scoot.

Huggles,

Trish

Hi, Trish.  I don't think it would be at all tacky to get the guys from church who installed your air conditioning a gift card to a restaurant -- or maybe even to some place like Home Depot.  My hubby is quite the handyman and he loves to get a gift card to a place that sells tools -- such as Home Depot.  He's always looking for ways to make a task easier and nothing quacks his duck as much as a new tool.

How is Utley?  It's been a while since you've mentioned him.  Hope he's doing well.

I hope everyone has a good day.

Hi Cindy,

Utley's doing fine.  He does do something strange though.  I'll put him out to go potty, and after he comes in, he'll poop right on the carpet.  I need to get him to a veterinarian to figure out what is going on.  This has been going on since I moved here.  I know the previous tenant had a dog that pottied on this carpet.  One of the conditions of me being able to live here with Utley was to have the same carpet.  Trent shampooed it several times, but I'm not sure what's going on with my dog.

Utley did spend two weeks at my son's house.  His girlfriend has a dog walking/pet sitting business, and they have a dog.  Both dogs get along fairly well, though Utley can be extremely protective of his bones, toys, etc.  He'll even bare his teeth at me.  But, I just say "No" loudly at him when he does that, and he backs off.

Thanks for asking.

Hugs,

Trish

Sorry that I have been missing last few days...but I have been trying not to use my arm so it didn't hurt so much. So far its not working. I get it so it doesn't hurt and then I trip or I use it wrong and here we go all over again!!!! I give up!!!! The tens unit has helped I do believe and so does the heat rub I am using on it. Come Monday I am calling the dr to see how I can afford to come see him and get some test done to see what it is!!!  I can't take this pain any more!!!

Today is the VFW picnic and we are going IF its not raining out there...sun is TRYING to come out...please come out...please??? Been looking forward to this picnic since last year's ended...lol. They have a huge pig roast and everyone brings dish to pass and omg the food is great and so is that prizes and music and wow what a great time for everyone!!! Just not looking forward to seeing the "jerk" Randy there...yuck!!!! LOL But he is a member and we do NOT have to be near him... ;-)

Cable box in bedroom went out AGAIN last night. Called cable this morning and they can't fix it AGAIN so I have to take it in Monday for a new one. So no tv AGAIN for the weekend in bedroom. Told her this was a NEW box for this tv and was getting upset that this is happening so often!! We have only been here about a year and a half now and this is the 3rd box!!! She said she would give me credit for the weekend...big deal!!! Seriously thinking of going to one of the DISH companies...NO it will NOT be FRONTIER!!!!!!

OK time to shower and then take Bandit out for potty walk...hope you all have a great day!!

Thoughts and Prayers for ALL that need them!!!

Judy -- I have heard that DISH isn't that reliable in heavy rainstorms.  That is why we don't have it here -- we get lots of heavy rain. It might be worth checking into first.  Just a thought.

I hope you can get relief for your arm pain soon!

Good Morning OFF Family!!

Judy, I do hope you get some relief for your pain. There is nothing worst than to not to be able to get away from pain. Well, if you couldn't get away from Randy that might be worse. lol! Prayers being sent for you!

Still have a horrible sore throat and feel crappy all over. Hope this antibiotic starts to work soon. Have a feeling there's a nap in my future. Hope you all have a great day, thoughts and prayers for all,

Hello sistas!

Just a quick pop in to say "hi!"  Benny and I are off to swim at the pool at the Y.  If I don't get out of this house, I'm going to go cray-cray, as the younger generation says!  LOL!  Check back in later.

Hi Trish and my OFF family:

Sorry I've been MIA lately; been a little depressed (won't go into details, same ol', same ol'). Working on it.

Had my yearly blood tests and everything is wonderful inside my body. Cholesterol is 170, blood glucose is 83, all my vitamin levels are awesome ... this is the first year in nine that I haven't had to up any vitamins. All my doctor (who is a man of few words) said was: "Labs are good; keep it up."

We are supposed to have rain, and my body is feeling it. I have a headache. I have to work today. Hopefully, the drugs will take effect quickly.

Tri****hink it is nice that you want to give something to those who helped you. It's not tacky, it's generous.

Judy, hope your arm feels better. Are you old enough to get Medicare?

Well, take care everyone and have a good day.

Hi Trish and especially Eileen,

Sorry Trish you are waking early coz of meds transition. Eileen, my heart goes out to you. Suspect I know, hope you get out of BlueFunk and in control again.

Am in one myself, have had recurring IBS and diverticulitis, no energy to do anything and had scheduled a lot of sorting of various closets and cupboards, tossing out in August, have barely enough energy to read a book.

Everyone, have a better day than I am having!
