TGIF Morning in Michigan

Good Morning Family,

I finally feel human.  I'm so grateful to finally feel normal.

I have a surgery date.  Tuesday, August 27th.  The surgeon's nurse tried to give me Thursday, August 15th, but Colleen babysits that day, and wouldn't be able to drive me to and from.  While I am disappointed it can't be the earlier day, I'm grateful to finally have everything in place to getting this done.

Today, I have some groceries to put away, tidying to do, and unpacking to do.  I bought a lot of groceries yesterday, and got some bargains so I stocked up.  Plus, I bought some supplies to do some cooking of a couple meals to not have to cook after my surgery for a few days.

This afternoon, I'm babysitting the boys, so Colleen can take Isabel to get an echocardiogram.  The pediatrician heard a heart murmur.  I had one as a child, and it involved annual trips into Philadelphia to University Pennsylvania to monitor it.  Then, at 11 years old, I was admitted to get a catheterization done, back when they did it in the arm.  Depending on what they found, I would have needed open heart surgery, but I didn't.  Since then, the murmur has closed on its own.

Must scoot.

Hugs and Prayers,

Trish

Good Morning, Trish.  Glad you are feeling better today.  You've sure had a long road with your gall bladder.  I'm sorry you have to wait until the end of the month to get it out but at least the end is in sight.  enlightened

I hope everyone has a good day today.  Can't believe it's Friday already.  Time is just racing by at a break-neck speed, isn't it?

We ordered a TENS for my hubby's neck.  Hoping it helps with his headaches.  At this point, we're ready to try anything we can.

Nothing much new and I don't have much to say either I guess.  Take care, everyone.

Cindi....I hope the TENS unit works well for your hubby. It sure helps me. I use it all over! I still have pain form my procedures but at least I have no more back pain and headaches to deal with....now if the tenderness would just go away!

Love and hugs....connie d

Morning all!

Trish so happy to hear your surgery is set! You'll be so happy when that little thing that causes so much trouble and pain is out. I know I was.

Ended up at Urgent Care last night Had this sore throat since Monday. Plus I've been feeling horrible, upset tummy and chills. Doc said it was a sinus infection, I tested negative for strep but they sent a throat culture to the lab just to be safe. She put me on Amoxicillin 875 mg for 10 days plus a refill. So I'm just taking it easy doing a little quilting but that's it.

Hope you all have a great day, thoughts and prayers for all,

Debbie

Good morning Trish, Cindi, and Debbie, plus all my beautiful OFF sistas to come!

I know how happy many of you are that it is Friday!  TGIF!  Fridays really don't mean all that much to me anymore since I quit working, but I still remember the relief of getting to the end of the work week!

Trish, so glad you are feeling better and that you have your surgery date.  I hope and pray Isabel gets a good report from the doctor today.  Cindi, hope the TENS helps your husband's headaches!  Debbie, sorry you have been so sick.  Hope the medicine works quickly.

Oh, and btw, Debbie, I ordered a mini-quilt wall hanging pattern.  It's called a Fractured Flag, and it's the Lone Star Flag (Texas state flag).  I'm going to tackle it this fall.  I'm really looking forward to trying it.  It's all pieced on the machine, so hopefully I can do it.  I also still have to make my kitchen and dining room curtains!  C'mon preschool! LOL!

Not a lot going on with me today.  My goal for the day is to clean (dust) all my plantation blinds.  It's not hard, just takes a while to do each one.  But I'm determined to keep these new blinds looking good.  I should also take a swipe at all the ceiling fans!  (It never ends.)

I am so sick of watching cartoons on TV.  When it's this hot outside (hit 104F yesterday), the only time Benny and I can get outside is in the early mornings or at the pool, so we end up watching a LOT of TV.  I like children's movies, but Benny's not quite ready for "real" TV.  So we watch a lot of cartoons.  Ask me if I am SICK of Littlefoot and the dinosaur gang!  Good Lord, they made over a dozen of those movies and we have watched every one ad nauseum.  Bleh!

Looking forward to seeing some pics of my oldest girl Carrie on FB this weekend.  She's the MOH in her friend's wedding tomorrow.  She never could get that size 18 bridesmaid dress to zip and finally they took it to an alteration place last week.  The waistband needed an additional TWO inches to make it zip!  Obviously that dress was just not made right to begin with.  Fortunately she had ordered hers with two inseam pockets in the skirt, and the seamstress was able to take the extra fabric from the pockets and add the necessary inches to the waistband.  I really hate foreign made clothes.  I've bought some things that were marked XL that quite obviously were not a USA XL!  She was feeling rather defeated about it, but the dress she's wearing to the rehearsal dinner tonight is a size 14/16 Large.  I told her to just let it go.  She's down over 50 lbs and looking great.  I want her to be proud of herself and not let one dumb dress bring her down.

Plus, she has a date for tomorrow night and she's all excited about that.  She's had her nose to the grindstone for the past three years.  I want her to have some fun.

Well, that's it for my exciting life.  I am flat broke and house bound and living in toddler world.  Not a lot to recount on a daily basis.

Love you all!

Good afternoon all, just and I'm on here, mark that on the calendar!  Glad to hear all are doing better today Trish with her GB and Debbie with her throat.

Vickie I have the two Grandson's tonight and we have gone from record high's to lows.  Now the water is to cold for them to swim and the five year old would spend the whole day in there if he could.

Hope all have a great day.

Cindy hope the tens works for hubbies neck!

Good morning Trish and everyone.....

Just checking in for a bit. Not feeling well today. My tummy has been kind of off for a couple days....hope it goes away soon.

Trish...I am keeping Isabel in my prayers. I wish they could do your surgery sooner....but I understand.

Debbie....glad you went into the ER....hope the new meds help!!

Vickie....I can understand how you feel about the television shows. I went about crazy watching that stuff over and over. They are cute at first...after that it grinds on you! I am sure Carrie will look beautiful in the MOH dress. I am so happy she is getting out and having some fun!

I wish everyone a beautiful day. Prayers for many of our OFF friends and family.

Hello Connie luv!  Glad to hear from you.  You've been on my mind.  That neck procedure really knocked you on your butt.  I hope it is worth it in the end and you have no more pain.  Pray for you daily.
